Podcast By Proxy: Canadian True Crime

29-12-2022 • 1 hr 11 mins

The story of Cougar Annie is as wild as it sounds. Ada Annie Rae-Arthur is a pioneering legend on the west coast of Vancouver Island.  Named for her incredible aim and skill at shooting cougars, Cougar Annie lived and worked on her land at Boat Basin for almost 70 years.  You can still visit Cougar Annie’s Historic Garden by float plan or water taxi from Tofino, BC, and the land she lived on has been maintained by a foundation dedicated to keeping it one of the most iconic pieces of history in the world.
