In 1965, a 40-year-old Esther Castellani began experiencing debilitating abdominal cramps. Unable to work and due to lack of nutrition, a vanilla milkshake from the White Spot seemed to always hit the spot.

She was ultimately hospitalized by June of the same year and her life was cut short when she died on July 11.
