Episode 94 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the events that took place after Raavan’s brother Kumbhkarn died. Raavan was completely devastated. He fell on the ground and started crying. He said that he had all interest in the kingdom and even Seeta. He did not want to live without his brother Kumbhkarn. Trishira, his son, consoled him. Trishira told Raavan about Raavan’s strengths and ability to destroy any enemy. Trishira offered to go and fight. Along with Trishira, other sons of Raavan – Devaantak, Naraantak and Atikaay – expressed enthusiasm to go to war. Raavan was extremely pleased. He blessed them and sent them to war along with two of his step-brothers – Mahaapaarshv and Mahodar. In the fierce battle that followed, Naraantak was killed by Prince Angad. Devaantak was killed by brave Hanuman. Mahodar was killed by Neel. Hanuman cut off Trishira’s three headswith Trishira’s sword. (Ref. Chapters 68-70, Yuddh Kand, Shreemad Valmikiy Ramayan)

Valmiki Ramayan is the original epic which narrates the story of Ram. It is a detailed work which describes Ram as a human being who faced all the difficulties of life. Ram of Valmikiy Ramayan faces dilemmas, discusses with his family and friends, accepts guidance from learned men and suffers hardships. He always takes the right decisions and follows the path of dharm. This series of conversations is intended to help the viewers understand the personality of Ram.
