"Dr. Shirley Madhere is a plastic surgeon who practices using a holistic approach.   She is the Founder of Holistic Plastic Surgery in New York as well as the elevated aesthetic medical mobile service, Jet Set Beauty RX, where she offers procedures such as injectables, Vitaglow facial vitamin infusions, PRP, chemical peels, and more..  As with her multi-cultural background, her interests are diverse and contribute to her perspective that beauty and healing emanate from within, and that external appearance is a reflection of inner health of the mind, body, and spirit. She believes that appearance is an expression of beauty and of our overall sense of wellness. Moreover, she understands that looking well is an important aspect of leadership and achieving professional and personal success. According to Dr. Madhère, “Personal style, manifested by what we wear and how we look, mirrors our complexity as human beings. Thus, beauty is a visual marker of whom we are and how we communicate that to others. This non-verbal method of communication not only speaks volumes about ourselves, but also bolsters our sense of self and helps us to relate to the world.”

She offers a combination of wellness and cosmetic counseling before recommending any surgical procedures and empowers her patients to seek life-affirming cosmetic treatments that are guided by a personal definition of beauty and self.  In pursuit of a robust education, Dr. Madhère is a graduate of the Dartmouth Medical School and Brown University School of Medicine combined program and she has a Master’s Degree from the Brown University Graduate School. She completed both a full residency in general surgery and a second subsequent residency in plastic surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center as well as a one-year educational program on holistic nutrition at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
