So you have your first baby, fresh out of the oven, in your hands for the first time. You’re feeling all of the emotions, from the highest highs to the lowest lows. Then, some well-meaning relative pops in and says “When’s number two on the way?” without even giving your lady parts time to rest. And let me tell you, the question never stops coming—and if it does, it only gets replaced by “Why’d you stop at one?” There are some weird cultural expectations around kids, and when you go against the grain you start to get some odd looks. We’re going to explore what some of those expectations are, why we decided to be “one and done,” and share two pieces of game-changing parenting advice we received early on that we were grateful to hear.
