This week, A'ndre chats with former PACFLT Commander Admiral Scott Swift (Ret.) on the key challenges facing military logistics in the Indo-Pacific -- drawing on the Admiral's experience operating in that area. Serving as commander between 2015 and 2018, Admiral Swift discusses how PACFLT and the U.S. Navy approached contested logistics in that timeframe, in addition to providing his perceptions on the key, targeted threats the supply chains face. We also talked about the imperative of contingencies if port infrastructure is attacked, who in the Navy have the most impact on logistics, and why we need to utilize existing technologies over new ones in addressing key challenges. Admiral Swift also highlights why the private sector is critical in mobilizing our solutions to contested logistics.
