Door Bumper Clear returns from Las Vegas Motor Speedway to recap the first race of the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors and Freddie Kraft discuss their casino experiences, running into Kyle Larson, and the biggest jackpot Brett has ever won. First in Spot On, Spot Off, the crew breaks down Bubba Wallace wrecking and fighting Kyle Larson after Larson ran Wallace up the track and into the wall off Turn 4. The guys explain why the start was just a racing incident and discuss why Wallace’s actions were unacceptable. Plus, Wallace’s spotter Freddie shares his point of view from the accident. Next, Ross Chastain and Chase Briscoe weren’t able to hold on to the win and clinch their spot in the Championship 4 as Joey Logano passed them late. The spotters applaud Briscoe for his recovery after a rough first half of the race and react to Chastain losing the win late and what his moves say about his mindset in the playoffs. Kurt Busch announced his retirement and that Tyler Reddick will replace him in the No. 45 car next year. They discuss how Busch’s concussion was bigger than anybody expected and how big of an asset he has been for 23XI Racing this year. NASCAR penalized Cole Custer for race manipulation at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The table explains why they should have taken action for Chase Elliott at Bristol last year if using the same logic and predict there will be more manipulation at this upcoming Martinsville playoff cutoff race. Finally, Dodge has reportedly pulled out of talks to rejoin NASCAR. The guys reveal what team they were potentially looking to join and why NASCAR lowering the horsepower is not attracting more manufacturers. In Reaction Theatre, fans call in about Hailie Deegan’s Xfinity Series debut, Bubba Wallace wrecking Kyle Larson, and a rap about Sunday’s race. Later, hear which spotters may be on the move this off-season, major controversy in DBC picks, and expectations for Homestead-Miami Speedway in the new car.
