269: Hello Birdie app, LPGA at Shadow Creek, RIP DBLR, Look at this Instagram
Send us a Text Message.EPISODE 269Back with more golf talk this week as we are ONE WEEK AWAY from The Masters! So much great talk on this week's show!Matt went into detail about the new phone app he found called Hello Birdie. Not for the Soul Golfer; this app goes into great detail about your round. From preround planning to in-round caddy options, it's backed to the nines with features. https://www.hello-birdie.com/en/We were snubbed by either Shadow Creek, MGM Rewards, T-Mobile, the LPGA, or all of the above when our request for Media Credentials for this weekend's LPGA Tour event at the Stoic course was denied. Regardless, we're still big fans of the LPGA Tour, and we're looking forward to watching the tourney, if it's even on TV, and seeing the amazing Shadow Creek.https://www.lpga.com/tournaments/lpga-match-play-at-shadow-creek/overviewAtomic Golf vs Atomic GolfWe love the Vegas golf space, obviously, but we totally forgot to call out Atomic Golf Las Vegas for "stealing" the name Atomic Golf from our friend Joel Leopard of Atomic Golf. It will be interesting to see what happens, and we'll make sure to keep everyone informed as much as we can.https://www.atomicgolf.club/The Vegas Golf community lost a great man this past weekend. Ron, aka DBLR (Double R), was a presence in the community and will be missed. While we didn't get the opportunity to tee it up with Ron while he was with us, many of our friends and followers of the show did. We were honored to play a tribute video from some of the people whose lives were touched by Ron. 268: Atomic Golf Opens in Vegas, A Yellow Ball wins on the PGA Tour and some VGN Talk
Send us a Text Message.EPISODE 268Another new golfing venue opened its doors this past weekend, and we were on-site at Atomic Golf Las Vegas for the Media event before the doors officially opened on Friday. Matt, Dan, and Joe were there, and there was a lot to talk about. Atomic Golf, a competitor to TopGolf, Drive Shack, and the other Golf Rangemertainment facilities, has some features we were excited to see and some we knew were going to be basic.  https://atomicgolf.com/A Yellow Golf Ball won on the PGA Tour for the first time since..... Stat Guy is still trying to find out. We looked river the field at The Houston Open and who's in for The Masters. But there was little to no talk about The Valspar, mainly because none of us watched it. The Vegas Golf Networks' second tournament of the season took place over the weekend out at Primm Valley, and we, of course, had to talk about it!https://www.vegasgolfnetwork.comMatty G gave us the weekend FOREcast, and it isn't looking too promising.----------------------------------------------------------------------We have a new partnership with The Golf Stop. 267: The Flop that is Full Swing 2, The Players was Epic, What makes a Major a Major
Send us a Text Message.Episode 267Matt has tried but still hasn't made it through season 2 of Full Swing on Netflix. This sparked a great conversation about how the show could be better for true golf fans. The Players was epic, which was exactly what the PGA Tour needed as we entered the Major season. It didn't hurt that a hurting Scottie Scheffler did his thing and became the first-ever back-to-back Players Champion. Matty G gave us the weekend FOREcast for the VGN event at Primm Valley, and we shared some info about the tourney.Joe was asking, "What defines a Major?" and had all of us stumped! It looks like we have some Golf Homework for next week!----------------------------------------------------------------------We have a new partnership with The Golf Stop. 266: Trey in studio to talk Legacy, Full Swing and The Players
Send us a Text Message.EPISODE 266It's The Players Week, and we invited our friend and Florida native, Trey Sanders, to come hang with us and talk some golf. The Legacy Golf Club got a lot of press this week. Matt, Joe, Jeremy, and Trey all played there on Sunday, and for Trey, it was his first time around the course. It was nice to hear Trey, who could be considered a course snob, have some nice things to say about The Legacy. It's a fun course with a great routing and some very challenging holes. Next up, we dove head first into Full Swing 2. While Matt, Jeremy, and Dan have yet to watch it, Joe has already finished the second season, and Trey is almost finished with the show. After that, we got into some Player's talk. We had a round of Trivia naming previous champions back to 2009. Trey relived some of his fondest memories from the many times he's okayed the course, Joe went over the odds for the tourney, and we all picked who we thought would hold the trophy on Sunday afternoon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------Here  is the link to the Finding Feel video from Titleisthttps://youtu.be/y2LhUV8bwCM?si=WblO8RVHlFUoH_RkWe have a new partnership with The Golf Stop.
