Hello everyone, and welcome to Nerds from the Crypt, where we interview indie creators about their upcoming and ongoing horror projects. We also review your favorite and sometimes not-so-favorite horror movies. Thank you to every one of you who listens to each episode and if you are a new listener, I would like to say welcome.   For today’s episode I welcome back an old friend of the podcast, Dan Schmidt. Dan was with us back on episode 77 talking about his debut graphic novel “Worms Crawl In” a 160-page black and white graphic novel that features Delane, a spirit medium who hits rock bottom when her only friend is murdered. She meets the ghost of Marco, who is trapped in the rotting corpse and finds out both are looking for revenge against the same person that killed Marco and Delane’s friend. He will be talking to us about the beginning of his career and how he got to today where he is launching an Indiegogo campaign for Exodus Z issue 1, a 24 page story that starts off shortly after the start of the apocalypse. He will also be talking about some of his inspirations and ideas for future horror projects. The first issue follows Tomas and Angela as they attempt to find a way to escape the zombie apocalypse. They find their way to the Church O' Grace as the Preacher attempts to guide his parishioners to Heaven as the final escape from this living nightmare. We had the pleasure of speaking with the very talented Amber Doig-Thorne for this week's episode. Amber is an actress known for her role in the horror movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. She has had roles in over 100 film productions, including 20 feature films, numerous award-winning short films, comedy productions, TV spots, and commercials.    Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey    Transformed into feral and bloodthirsty, Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet terrorise Christopher Robin and a group of young women at a remote house.                          The Seven Decades after the members of a satanic cult died in a fire that destroyed their mansion, a college stands on the very spot, the mansion once towered. Students get locked in by the college's live-in caretaker, a shady character who usually cleans up after the students.   Easter Bunny Massacre A group of old school friends are reunited for Easter where they are confronted about a crime they committed by a serial killer dressed in a Easter Bunny outfit.   The House That Zombie Built Zombies have overrun the earth, and young Scott's the last to learn about it - so he can't be too picky when it comes to choosing his safe haven.    The Baby in the Basket A baby in a basket is left on the steps of an isolated monastery on a Scottish island. The nuns take it in, planning to care for it until a storm passes. I had the pleasure of speaking with Lucy Sulivan, author of "Barking" and "Shelter". Lucy told us about how she grew up in the UK and her inspirations for her graphic novels.  BARKING“A tale of grief, madness and the ghosts that haunt us”   SHELTER: EARLY DOORS  "EARLY DOORS is the 1st of the SHELTER stories, a new -folk-horror series set in London in the late 60s/Early 70s. A world where the supernatural rubs shoulders with the mundane. Where whisper networks and the old ways control local governance and only that will see you through."   About the Author: Lucy Sullivan is a Comic Writer & Artist from London.
