Rein joins the ensemble alongside Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Riley Keough (Daisy Jones & The Six), and Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife). The eight-episode series, based on the gripping book by Rebecca Godfrey, premiered on Hulu on April 17, 2024. Set against the haunting backdrop of a tragic murder, Under the Bridge chronicles the harrowing true story of Reena Virk, a 14-year-old who vanished after attending a party. Through the lens of Godfrey (played by Keough) and local police officer Cam Bentland (Gladstone), the series delves into the investigation, unraveling shocking secrets about the young girls accused of Reena’s disappearance. Appearing in five episodes, Rein portrays Officer Don Gardner, a rookie cop determined to earn his place on the Saanich police force as the sleepy Vancouver Island town is left reeling in the wake of Reena’s savage murder. Evan Rein’s other roles cover a broad range of characters, including the lead in the feature film Blue Hour as Lee, an anxious aspiring writer living in rural Alberta. The indie horror thriller ponders the question: What sucks more than being single on Valentine’s Day? Being dumped right before Valentine’s Day...and on the eve before starting a new job. Consequently, Jadyn (Ella-Rae Smith)’s first day at "Glow", a renowned skincare company, is off to a rough start. When she breaks out in tears during a planning meeting for her boss’ annual Valentine’s Day soiree, her new coworkers Brandi (Cassie Clare) and Alex (Miriam-Teak Lee) demand that she pull herself together. Both recently singled as well, they are coping with it in wildly different ways. Bonded by heartbreak, the girls decide to get satisfying revenge on their exes while planning for the re-imagined Galentine’s Day soiree. But it quickly proves not as fun or comedic as in the movies when their exes start popping up dead shortly after they've gotten their revenge. The girls soon discover that a deranged killer, with a radiant skin complexion, is out to get them. It is available now on Tubi. Traci Hays is a DGA Award-nominated director. Too Opinionated Interview: Musetta Vander

Too Opinionated Interview: Musetta Vander
A Dutch South African, Musetta Vander was raised without that most basic of modern conveniences--television! Radio programming, childhood books and weekend trips to the drive-in introduced her to the magical world of movies. It was not until the mid-'70s that South Africa finally got television, and the big black box in the family living room "miraculously" sprang to life. However, as the daughter of a ballet teacher, Musetta was no stranger to the entertainment world and debuted on stage at the age of four.  Shortly after her arrival, she became part of the very world she used to host, appearing as the "dream girl" in more than 20 music videos for such top recording artists as Rod Stewart, Amy Grant, Tina Turner, Elton John and Chris Isaak. It was her critically acclaimed stage performance in the original South African play "Soweto's Burning", about the trials of an interracial friendship in that racially segregated country, that provided her transition to the big screen. Musetta has since performed in numerous feature films, including collaborating with her husband on Under the Hula Moon and Gunshy. She has also worked alongside such screen veterans as Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh and Will Smith in Wild Wild West, George Clooney and John Turturro in O Brother, Where Art Thou? and John Hurt and Louis Gossett Jr. in Monolith. She's also added a slew of television credits to her arsenal, including guest appearances on the hit shows Star Trek: Voyager, Frasier, Xena, Babylon 5, Highlander, Stargate SG-1 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.   Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

Too Opinionated Interview: Catherine Harrison
Toronto-based singer-songwriter Catherine Harrison recently released her latest single, LOVE IS NOT A GAME, challenging conventional notions of love and using music as a powerful platform to advocate for mental health. The anti-Valentine's Day love song encourages listeners to broaden their understanding of love beyond romantic relationships, emphasizing the importance of self-love, connection with others, and a more holistic appreciation for how love can be perceived and used for good.  LOVE IS NOT A GAME is available for streaming and download now. Valentine’s Day is typically a time saturated with overly commercialized expressions of a specific type of love and the societal pressures that often accompany them. LOVE IS NOT A GAME challenges the status quo and captures the essence of resisting societal expectations and empowering those who find strength in rejecting the marketed narrative of love. This anti-Valentine's anthem is set to captivate hearts and minds, encouraging a celebration of self-worth and resilience during a season often overshadowed by external pressures. Catherine, also the president of Revelios, a mental health strategy company, believes that love is a fundamental component of mental health and well-being. The song's release is not only a musical endeavor but also a charitable one. All proceeds generated from the single, including live shows throughout the year, will be donated to Unison Fund, a registered, non-profit music industry charity that provides counseling, emergency financial support, and other resources to the Canadian music community.
