In this extended writing diary, you can follow me every step of the way as I write a 75k-word book. I was writing Her Last Cry, the second book in a trilogy of psychological thrillers. My general rate of progress is 3 chapters/5k first-draft words each writing day. It takes me 17 x working days to write the first draft of the book.
