The Flatwoods Monster: Re-Examined

Give online therapy a try at: www.betterhelp.com/skies and get on your way to being your best self.On episode 351 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we review the classic Flatwoods Monster case from a new perspective. On September 12th, 1952, a group of local boys and one of their mothers saw what they described as a "shooting star" that fell to earth on the top of a hill. They soon stumbled upon an object that was glowing and hissing. Near the glowing object they were terrified to see a huge creature, that would come to be known as the Flatwoods Monster. What was it? Where did it come from? Featuring rare audio from UFO researchers, Ivan T. Sanderson and Stanton T. Friedman, we'll re-examine this classic case and look at some of the possible explanation for what may have crashed to Earth that day in 1952.Episode co-researched and co-written by Marcus Lowth: www.ufoinsight.comPatreon: www.patreon.com/somewhereskiesPayPal: Sprague51@hotmail.comWebsite: www.somewhereintheskies.comStore: http://tee.pub/lic/ULZAy7IY12UYouTube Channel: CLICK HEREOrder Ryan’s new book: https://a.co/d/4KNQnM4Order Ryan’s older book: https://amzn.to/3PmydYCTwitter: @SomewhereSkiesRead Ryan’s Articles by CLICKING HEREOpening Theme Song, "Ephemeral Reign" by Per KiilstofteCopyright © 2024. Project Grudge and the Fort Monmouth UFO Incident

Project Grudge and the Fort Monmouth UFO Incident
On episode 350 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we dig deep into the early files of Project Grudge. Intended to alleviate public anxiety over UFOs and persuade the public that UFOs constituted nothing unusual or extraordinary, Project Grudge sought to explain away UFO sightings. Officials recommended that the project be reduced in scope because the very existence of Air Force interest encouraged people to believe in UFOs. Eventually, the Air Force announced the project's termination in December of 1949. However, it would come to light that it was actually still in operation, albeit covertly, until late 1951. And one of the cases investigated was that of the Fort Monmouth UFO in New Jersey. Buried deep in what many believe was a coverup, the most detailed version would come to light through the words of the man who ran Project Grudge, and eventually, Project Blue Book; Edward J. Ruppelt. This episode was co-written and researched by Marcus Lowth. Oscar Linke, War Time, and Flying Saucers of Berlin

Oscar Linke, War Time, and Flying Saucers of Berlin
This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Give online therapy a try at: www.betterhelp.com/skies and get on your way to being your best self.On episode 345 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, we head to Berlin. Of the many files released by the CIA, one bearing the title, Flying Saucers in East Germany, from July 9th, 1952 is one of the most interesting. The account would find its way to the CIA after the main witness, Oscar Linke would testify of his claims before a judge. What made the Oscar Linke case even more intriguing is that he and his family would escape the oppression of Soviet-controlled East Germany and into the relative freedom of West Germany before the incident became known. Linke knew that what he'd witnessed wasn't a Soviet craft of any kind. In fact, he didn't believe it to be from any country. He believed it to have come from another world.Episode written and co-researched by Marcus Lowth.
