While 2022 hasn't been a standout year for club music, there were still some incredible songs that deserve recognition. However, it's worth noting that many new releases seem to be dominated by a select group of artists, resulting in a familiar and somewhat stale style. This repetitive approach, often dark and somewhat depressing, has left the industry craving originality. Regardless, these two volume reprsent the best dance songs of the year for 2022. Unfortunately, new releases have been scarce, and breakout hits even rarer. Typically, we witness at least three massive hits that carry over into the following year, but this time, they are noticeably absent. Even the revival of NuDisco has become tiresome, as repetitive beats with different lyrics no longer captivate audiences. Disco, once a diverse and vibrant genre, is not accurately represented in today's music landscape. The industry lacks the juice and originality that made it so thrilling, even when sampling older songs. Will 2023 be the year that Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Rihanna, accompanied by their tours, breathe life into this stale industry? While their tours are sure to be a success, their impact on the dance floor remains uncertain. Personally, I have longed for Madonna to revisit her early sound with a modern twist, but it seems she has disregarded my advice. However, she has the potential to achieve the elusive middle-aged global #1 hit that brought Cher back to the top of the pop charts in 1998. Perhaps she will surprise us after all. Moving on to Rihanna, her contribution to the Wakanda Forever theme song was forgettable, similar to Beyoncé's delivery for Lion King. However, with her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, new music is likely on the horizon. Let's hope it doesn't resemble "Lift Me Up" from her forthcoming album. Regarding Janet, most of the buzz revolves around her tour, though she did mention that new music is in the works. While I'd love to be pleasantly surprised, I remain doubtful. In 2023, Latino music has had a significant impact, transcending barriers and achieving tremendous crossover success across the Americas. This wave is even more substantial than the explosion of Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Shakira from 1999 to 2001. The remarkable aspect is that most of these artists are accomplishing this while singing in their native language, marking a major milestone. Remixes ranging from Big Room to House Music perfectly complement their songs. Party Favorz eagerly anticipates more from these artists,
