Browns QB Deshaun Watson Predicts a Breakout 2023 From Donovan Peoples-Jones
In this episode of the Locked On Browns Podcast we discuss Donovan Peoples-Jones potential to have a breakout year in 2023. DPJ had a career year last year and looks to improve on those numbers with the help of QB Deshaun Watson. As NFL free agency rages on, or more appropriately rolls on like a slow-moving babbling brook, the Cleveland Browns have made a number of moves to improve their defense while retaining Ethan Pocic as their starting center on offense. One move that many are wondering about is whether the team will add another receiver to their mix. Amari Cooper was a big addition last year with Donovan Peoples-Jones playing the second receiver role well. Finding a third receiver is still something fans and media would like to see. Whether the Browns value that as much is yet to be determined. While Cooper has been well-paid throughout his career, as a sixth-round selection Peoples-Jones is still waiting for that to happen. He is scheduled for free agency at the end of the 2023 NFL season unless Cleveland gets an extension done with him before then. In 2022, DPJ earned just under $900,000. The NFL announced the top 25 players who earned performance-based based distributions for 2022. PBP is described by the league as: Under the Performance-Based Pay program, a fund is created and used as a supplemental form of player compensation based on a comparison of playing time to salary. Players become eligible to receive a bonus distribution in any regular season in which they play at least one official down. In general, players with higher playtime percentages and lower salaries benefit most from the pool. Last year, Peoples-Jones got the 11th largest bonus in the NFL at $717,642. Marcus Epps of the Philadelphia Eagles topped the list with $880,354. The bonuses do not impact teams’ salary cap numbers at all. The NFL and NFLPA wanted to put in place a way to benefit underpaid players, especially those on rookie contracts or veterans generally later in their careers. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Browns QB Deshaun Watson Under Tons of Pressure, But JOK & Wills Have The Most To Prove

Browns QB Deshaun Watson Under Tons of Pressure, But JOK & Wills Have The Most To Prove
The Browns have added a ton of upgrades during free agency, but they are counting on QB Deshaun Watson to take a huge step forward in 2023. Even though the Cleveland Browns are Counting On Deshaun Watson, But JOK and Wills Have The Most To Prove in 2023. We discuss that and more on this episode of Locked on Browns! Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Heading into the 2023 season there will be real expectations for the Cleveland Browns defense to perform under new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. A big help in making that happen would be linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah taking that next step. Pro Football Focus has named JOK as a breakout candidate for the Browns in 2023. This season before his season-ending injury, the Notre Dame product posted a 64.3 grade. Owusu-Koramoah appeared in 11 games in 2022 and made 70 tackles, seven for a loss, and matched his rookie total of two forced fumbles. As a rookie, JOK played in 14 games and made 76 tackles. Over his first two seasons, Owusu-Koramoah has showcased a rare ability to shed blocks with how agile he is. He's made a living on doing so and quickly diagnosing the play. The next step in him becoming a high-level player at the position will be finishing plays. Schwartz should have the ability to put JOK in a position to succeed. Cleveland's defense will be a lot different in 2023, it starts with the new defensive coordinator. Jedrick Wills Jr. By May 1, the Browns must decide whether to pick up the fully-guaranteed fifth-year option for 2024 on left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. Based on the formula used for those options, picking up the option on Wills would cost the Browns $14.175 million for 2024. Berry cited his personal policy of not publicly discussing contract issues in declining to disclose the Browns’ plans, but he echoed Stefanski’s previous sentiments in saying the Browns believe 2022 was Wills’ best season after two different ankle injuries limited Wills’ effectiveness in 2021. “I think in the moment, in the season, you felt (good about Wills) because he was healthy and was playing well,” Stefanski said. “But as you go back and watch a lot of the tape over and over, he’s doing a nice job in the run game and the pass game. He’s winning his one-on-one matchups. Never perfect because it’s hard to be perfect as a left tackle in this game. But he played well. I really think, if he stays healthy, the trajectory continues to ascend.” If the Browns pick up Wills’ option — and it feels like a near-certainty that they will — they won’t necessarily plug a cap charge of more than $14 million into their 2024 planning. They could still sign Wills to a long-term extension before the option year kicks in, and the Browns generally have back-loaded those second contracts to reduce the first-year cap charge. Given the team’s cap situation, that might be a necessity, though it’s too early to know for sure. Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Wait, What? Did Odell Beckham Jr. Meet With Kevin Stefanski…?
In this episode, we'll take a look at the latest news in the NFL, and specifically the Cleveland Browns and Free Agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. A video of OBJ and Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski embracing at the NFL Owners Meeting in Arizona surfaced late yesterday on Twitter. OBJ reportedly met with the Jets, Ravens, and Rams. According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, Beckham and the Browns will not be reuniting in 2023. The Browns are happy with their acquisitions of Elijah Moore and Marquise Goodwin as their WR room in general. The video of OBJ and Stefanski caused a lot of confusion and speculation in the Browns community. We'll take a look at the latest news and see what it all means. Don't miss our latest video, where we explore Odell Beckham Jr.'s reported meeting with the Cleveland Browns coaching staff and see what it all means. Subscribe now to keep up to date with all the NFL news! Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. still does not know where he will play in 2023, but he is certainly making his presence known to all 32 clubs. The 30-year-old was seen talking with coaches and owners at the NFL owners meeting in Arizona on Tuesday. Beckham lives in the state, so why not stop by and chat with your possible future bosses? Beckham made his rounds to those at the meeting, but when talking to the media, he would not give much away on where he wants to go. Beckham declined to speak to the media, just saying, "All love," when he was asked about the New York Jets (per SNYtv). His agent, Zeke Sandhu, also did not give much away, saying they were just there to "get some sun" (per Cleveland.com). The free agent was seen speaking to teams that have shown interest, as well as those who have said they will not be signing Beckham. Beckham met with the Baltimore Ravens and said (per CBS Sports' Josina Anderson), "The love was there, good meeting…(Lot of) people and teams I bumped into." The wide receiver and Sandhu had a lengthy conversation with Jets general manager Joe Douglas and coach Robert Saleh (per the New York Daily News). With future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers making his claim that he intends to play for the Jets next season, the team could draw interest from Beckham. Beckham was also seen greeting Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, but his old team is not interested in pursuing him (per Cleveland.com). How The Browns Crushed Lamar Jackson & Ravens WITHOUT Even Stepping On The Field!"

How The Browns Crushed Lamar Jackson & Ravens WITHOUT Even Stepping On The Field!"
In this video, we're going to show you how the Browns crushed Lamar Jackson and the Ravens WITHOUT even stepping on the field! Lamar Jackson has demanded a trade and many believe it's solely because for the $230 Million dollars guaranteed contract the Browns gave Deshaun Watson. If you're a fan of the NFL, then you'll want to watch this video! The next step in the saga involving the Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson was taken Monday, when Jackson revealed he requested a trade out of Baltimore on March 2. In a tweet, the former NFL MVP said the Ravens, who previously placed the nonexclusive franchise tag on Jackson, have "not been interested in meeting my value." Speaking at the NFL's annual league meeting in Phoenix on Monday, Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said "I don't know what direction it's going to go" in regard to the negotiations, and also said of Jackson: "That's the guy I want to see be our quarterback." Jackson -- who is reportedly seeking a long-term contract with a guarantee in the neighborhood of the $230 million the Cleveland Browns gave Deshaun Watson last year -- had the nonexclusive franchise tag placed upon him by the Ravens on March 7. The tag allows Jackson to negotiate with other teams. What kind of leverage does Jackson have to force a trade? Jackson's tweet -- which was perfectly timed to the start of Harbaugh's media session at the league meetings -- is the first public indication that he wants out of Baltimore and might be a message that he doesn't want the Ravens to match an offer sheet to keep him. It is notable that, since Eric DeCosta took over as Ravens general manager, the team has dealt players who have requested a trade, including offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., and wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown. DeCosta has said in the past that he doesn't want players who don't want to be in Baltimore. What is the current market for a Jackson trade? Which teams could be interested? It's been 20 days since the Ravens placed the nonexclusive franchise tag on Jackson, and no team has signed him to an offer sheet. Jackson would certainly upgrade the quarterback situations for the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders and Atlanta Falcons. There has been speculation that the Tennessee Titans or San Francisco 49ers might get in the mix. But there are multiple factors -- the compensation to acquire Jackson (two first-round picks), Jackson's asking price (reportedly a Deshaun Watson-like deal) and the threat of the Ravens matching any offer -- that might have led to no team publicly pursuing him. Teams have until July 17 to sign Jackson to a multi-year offer sheet. Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Analyzing How Elijah Moore & Marquise Goodwin Transform The Wide Receiver Room!

Analyzing How Elijah Moore & Marquise Goodwin Transform The Wide Receiver Room!
In this video, we'll be taking a look at how Elijah Moore and Marquise Goodwin have transformed the wide receiver room in Cleveland. Elijah Moore was acquired in a trade with the New York Jets this offseason and will be vital part of Cleveland's offense in 2023. Marquise Goodwin is a solid veteran that was signed as a free agent this offseason. He last played with the Seattle Seahawks in 2022. This video will explore their impact on the Cleveland Browns and highlight the reasons why Cleveland were interested in acquiring them. With their contributions, the Browns should have a much improved wide receiving unit in 2023!  As the Cleveland Browns saw their passing offense finish in the bottom-quarter of the league, they made a concerted effort to get more explosive this offseason. By both trading for third-year wide receiver Elijah Moore and signing veteran speedster Marquise Goodwin, the Browns have taken a step forward in that department. Now with a crowded wide receiver room, what is the outlook of the wide receiver position for the Browns in 2023 and beyond? We analyze here the depth of the position, the versatility, the roles that are filled, and what still might be needed at the wide receiver position in Cleveland. As Elijah Moore comes to Cleveland, there is the idea that he is going to be strictly a slot receiver, but that has never been the case in his career. In 2022 with the Jets, Moore’s reps were split 50/50 out wide and in the slot. Even in 2021, his rookie season, Moore played just 28 percent of his snaps from the slot. With the route running savvy and ability to win off the line of scrimmage, Moore has the skillset to predominantly carve up defensive backs from Z looks more often than in the slot. And this gives the Browns a great deal of alignment versatility to play with. With Moore and Goodwin now added to the roster (and especially Moore), the Browns now have the luxury of moving both Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones around as well. As Cooper ages a bit, the Browns can move him into the slot and exploit mismatches with him inside.  personnel and run out of the shotgun. And just because Moore has the skillset of a Z, he does have a nice volume of snaps in the slot too. Last year’s third rounder could also play in the slot as well in four-wide sets and even in some three-wide packages offensively. In two wide receiver sets the Browns could trot out their two most lethal in Cooper and Moore, or they could trot out Peoples-Jones and Cooper. In three wide receiver sets, the Browns could throw speed on the field with Moore and Goodwin with Cooper, or they could throw their three best with Cooper, Moore, and Peoples-Jones. Browns Not Finished In Free Agency | Defensive End Frank Clark On Browns Radar!

Browns Not Finished In Free Agency | Defensive End Frank Clark On Browns Radar!
Cleveland Browns have added talent to their defensive end room but still have a need there as free agency pushes on. One NFL Dot Com writer believes that Cleveland and free agent Frank Clark would be a good fit. Clark was teammates with Juan Thornhill in Kansas City, where they both just won a Super Bowl. The Browns waved good-bye to Jadeveon Clowney before the 2023 league year even began, leaving a significant void opposite Myles Garrett. They've added a nice group of under-the-radar defenders up front, including Ogbo Okoronkwo, but it feels as if they can't be done signing additional contributors, especially considering how new coordinator Jim Schwartz likes to run his defense. A return home for Clark, a Cleveland kid who's looking to add another ring to his collection, feels beneficial for both parties -- and for Garrett. Clark was born in California but attended high school at Glenville in Cleveland. He went on to play at Michigan, where he was a second-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. While with the Seahawks, Clark had 35 sacks over four seasons. His best season came in 2018 when he had 13 sacks. Clark has spent the last four years with the Chiefs; where the numbers have gone down but he's still been a good pass rusher. All three of his Pro Bowl nods have come with the Chiefs, the last in 2021. Clark had five sacks for the Chiefs in 2022. At this point in his career, Clark is on the back end of his career. He's still going to give a good pass-rushing threat, perhaps best in a depth role or late downs.Don't expect Clark to be costly, so the Browns could work it even with their recent acquisitions. At this time there is no smoke between the two sides, but that's not to say there won't eventually be a homecoming for a good fit. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Elijah Moore Is The Piece That The Browns Need To Take It To The Next Step!

Elijah Moore Is The Piece That The Browns Need To Take It To The Next Step!
The Cleveland Browns have acquired wide receiver Elijah Moore from the New York Jets! The Browns have landed their next big addition to their offense. A league source confirmed to the Beacon Journal the Browns have acquired receiver Elijah Moore from the New York Jets, along with the Jets' third-round pick, No. 74. New York will receive the Browns' second-round pick, No 42. With the Browns, Moore fits into a receiving corps where Amari Cooper is the obvious No. 1 option, while Donovan Peoples-Jones is coming off of a break-through season in his third year in the NFL. David Bell struggled to get consistent targets as a rookie third-round pick out of Purdue, while injuries hampered the abilities of rookie Michael Woods II and second-year pro Anthony Schwartz to get on the field consistently a year ago. What the Browns have been looking for, though, is a receiver who has the speed to take the top off the defense. Schwartz was drafted with that thought in mind, but hasn't produced anywhere close to the expectations. Moore, the 5-foot-10, 178-pound former 2021 second-round pick out of Ole Miss, ended up being in an odd-man-out situation with the Jets. New York's pursuit of quarterback Aaron Rodgers has led it to sign receivers Allen Lazard and, on Wednesday, Mecole Hardman. Those additions, as well as 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and the re-emergence of Corey Davis last season, all have played a role in Moore being available. The Browns were more than happy to pounce to bring in the young talent in order to provide a change of scenery. Moore missed a Week 4 game against the Tennessee Titans in his rookie season due to a concussion, the final five games while being on injured reserve with a quad injury. In the 11 games he did play, he was targeted 77 times with 43 catches for 538 yards and five touchdowns. Last season, Moore played in 16 out of a possible 17 games, the exception being when he was inactive for a Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos as a team-disciplinary measure. He would be targeted 65 times with 37 catches for 446 yards and one touchdowns. Moore has been utilized both out wide and in the slot almost identically, especially last season. He was lined up wide on 385 offensive snaps in 2022, compared to 341 snaps in the slot.As a rookie, Moore was used more out wide, with 347 snaps there compared to 125 snaps in the slot. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Browns May Make Big Offensive Move, But Fans Aren't Thrilled...Revealed Here!
In this shocking Browns news video, we reveal why the fans aren't thrilled with the team's big plans to possibly trade for Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy. Listen daily to the Locked On Browns Podcast to stay up-to-date on all the latest Browns news! Rumors are circulating that the Browns are making a huge push to land Jerry Jeudy. This would be the Browns biggest offensive move during this NFL free agency period. But is it good news for the team or bad news? In this video, we reveal all the details so you can make an informed decision about whether or not to follow the Browns during the free agency period! The Cleveland Browns “haven’t slammed the door shut” on the possibility of trading for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, according to a report from Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot.  \The Broncos are seeking “at least” a first-round pick in exchange for Jeudy, according to previous reporting from The Athletic. The Browns do not hold a first-round pick this year or in 2024, so they would presumably need to include a high second-round pick and a player, or multiple picks to get a potential deal done. “The Broncos don’t plan to trade Jeudy, their 2020 No. 15 overall pick out of Alabama, unless someone makes them an offer they can’t refuse,” according to Cabot. The Dallas Cowboys enquired about Jeudy before the NFL trade deadline last season, and the New England Patriots have called about Jeudy this offseason, according to The Athletic. Denver has also received calls about Courtland Sutton and KJ Hamler, but the Broncos have held firm in their asking price. Last week, KUSA-TV reported that “it doesn’t appear” Denver will trade Jeudy or Sutton. It’s unclear if that’s accurate, or if it was just the team’s attempt to gain leverage in negotiations with other teams. Jeudy, 23, has one year left on his rookie contract, plus a team option for the 2024 season. With just five picks to use in this year’s draft, the possibility of the Broncos trading the wide receiver can’t be ruled out. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Browns News | Is Josh Dobbs The Favorite To Win The Backup QB Position ?
The Browns are signing quarterback Joshua Dobbs back to the team on a one-year deal, Dobbs’s agent Mike McCartney announced on Tuesday Dobbs was signed to a one-year deal with the Browns last April, in which he played as Jacoby Brissett’s backup quarterback until he was waived on Nov. 28, after Deshaun Watson returned to the team after his suspension. Watson missed 11 games last season due to violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. The investigation came after a total of 26 civil complaints were filed against Watson, describing graphic accounts of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Now Dobbs will backup Watson after Brissett signed with the Commanders last week. Dobbs has yet to make his Browns debut as he never took the field last season for Cleveland. Dobbs started two games for the Titans after he was picked up in December. The Titans lost both games, in which Dobbs completed 40 of 68 pass attempts for 411 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Prior to last season, Dobbs played two seasons on the Steelers as a backup quarterback to Ben Roethlisberger. Dobbs has appeared in eight games over the course of his pro career. The Cleveland Browns have added another depth piece in NFL free agency, this time retaining another one of their own in linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk. This now puts the Browns at ten signings through the first week of free agency as they signed both Kunaszyk and tight end Jordan Akins this weekend. Kunaszyk spent most of his time on special teams with the Browns, racking up 316 snaps in the third phase of the game. According to PFF, Kunaszyk was graded as an elite special teamer in 2022. However, after three linebackers suffered season-ending injuries a year ago as well, Kunaszyk stepped in reserve at the second level of their defense as well. At just a one-year deal worth just over $1.2 million (with $500k guaranteed), this is a no-brainer move for the Browns as they continue to make sure they have depth to their roster. Cleveland Browns have signed cornerback Mike Ford to a deal, a former Atlanta Falcons cornerback. Cleveland Browns look to have added another defender during free agency. Cornerback Mike Ford appears to be heading to the Browns and it looks to be a special team signing, with the potential to be depth on defense. Ford spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played in 17 games and made two starts. Ford played 83 percent of the Falcons special teams snaps and 15 tackles and one tackle for a loss. Ford has background of playing in the slot and could provide cleveland with depth there and as their fifth cornerback. Ford is still 27 years old and this will be his fourth NFL team. It looks like Ford could pair with Bubba Ventrone's special teams unit and have the chance to prove himself there. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. The Browns Haven't Landed Any Free Agent WR's, Is OBJ The Best Option Left?

The Browns Haven't Landed Any Free Agent WR's, Is OBJ The Best Option Left?
Taking a look at the Cleveland Browns and their prospects at wide receiver in the nfl 2023 Free Agency period. The Cleveland Browns are in a tough spot, as they're running out of time to give quarterback Deshaun Watson the weapons he needs to succeed. The team has a lot of talented players, but they need to get Watson a few downfield playmakers at receiver if they hope to make the playoffs this season. We'll be keeping an eye on the Browns and their prospects, so stay tuned for updates! If the price is right, the Cleveland Browns won’t hesitate to sign Odell Beckham Jr. as they look to beef up their wide receiver corps. Potential wide receiver targets for the Browns continue to come off the board, with Brandin Cooks getting traded to the Dallas Cowboys and veteran Adam Thielen signing with the Carolina Panthers. However, Beckham remains available, with the two-time All-Pro weighing his options carefully. His asking price in free agency has been disputed but Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com believes the Browns will make the move if the price is right. “The Browns attended Beckham’s private workout in Arizona, where he showed he can run. If the price is right, they won’t hesitate to sign him,” Cabot wrote in her latest Q&A column. As Cabot noted, the Browns were one of 12 teams who attended Beckham’s workout in Arizona earlier this month. He spent all of last season on the sideline as he recovered from a torn ACL he suffered while winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams. If he’s back to his former self, Beckham would be a great pickup for the Browns and he’d have the ability to erase what was a forgettable first stint in Cleveland. Beckham managed just 114 catches for 1,586 yards in 29 games with the Browns. After an ugly ending in Cleveland that included a very public beef with then-quarterback Baker Mayfield, Beckham signed with the Rams and became a significant contributor during their Super Bowl run. “While some in the organization were initially furious that Beckham gave up on the team, most recognized that his beef was only with Mayfield, and that much of it wasn’t his fault. As time went on, time healed most of those wounds.” The Browns have some other options on the table in the second wave of free agency. That includes former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Mecole Hardman and Lions free agent DJ Chark. Neither has the resume of Beckham but do come with tremendous top end speed, something the Browns would welcome as a complement to Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones. Hardman was recently recruited by Browns’ new safety Juan Thornhill, sending back an eyeball emoji as a potential sign of interest. Chark played in 11 games last season with the Lions, notching 30 catches for 502 yards and three touchdowns. His best season came in 2019, when he caught 73 passes for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns with Jacksonville. #browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Browns Sign Deshaun Watson's Former Teammate Jordan Akins To A 2- Year Deal

Browns Sign Deshaun Watson's Former Teammate Jordan Akins To A 2- Year Deal
The Browns finally gave a little free agency love to the offensive side of the ball. After signing three defensive tackles and one defensive end in the first few days of free agency, the Browns gave Deshaun Watson a new weapon in his former Texans’ tight end Jordan Akins. They signed Akins, 30, to a two-deal worth up to $5.2 million. His agent, David Canter, announced the signing Friday afternoon after Akins paid a free agent visit to Cleveland. A third-round pick of the Texans in 2018 out of Central Florida and the fifth tight end drafted that year, Akins spent four seasons in Houston with Watson, including 2021 when Watson sat out the year after asking to be traded and with civil suits piling up.vAkins (6-foot-4, 243 pounds) signed a one-year deal with the Giants in April of last year, but was released in August and was signed to the Texans’ practice squad.  He was promoted to the active roster on Oct. 12 and had the best season of his career with 37 catches for 495 yards and a career-high five TDs, which tied the total production of Browns tight ends David Njoku (four) and Harrison Bryant (one). Akins provides Watson with another red zone and end zone threat, and someone who established a nose for the end zone last season. In the Browns victory over the Texans on Dec. 4, he caught three passes for 21 yards, and he finished the season strong, with two TD catches in a victory over the Colts. According to Pro Football Focus, Akins was the 9th best tight end in the NFL in 2022 with a 72.4 grade, two notches behind Njoku (73.7.). Bryant was 32nd at 59.3. Akins was the sixth new free agent signed by the Browns in this cycle. The others were defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo, defensive tackles Dalvin Tomlinson, Maurice Hurst and Trysten Hill, and safety Juan Thornhill. The Browns have also re-signed three of their own free agents in cornerback A.J. Green, center Ethan Pocic and linebacker Sione Takitaki. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Browns Starting Safety Juan Thornhill Says The Defense Will Be Special!
Former UVA safety and two-time Super Bowl Champion Juan Thornhill is headed to the Cleveland Browns out of free agency. Former Virginia safety and two-time Super Bowl Champion Juan Thornhill has a new home in the National Football League. After spending the first four seasons of his professional career with the Kansas City Chiefs, Thornhill signed a three-year, $21 million contract to join the Cleveland Browns, as first reported on Wednesday by the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Two-time Super Bowl winner Juan Thornhill agreed to terms with the #Browns on a three-year, $21 million contract with $14 million fully guaranteed at signing over the first two years, per sources. Thornhill started 52 games for the Kansas City Chiefs and is a big addition for the Cleveland Browns.  After an impressive career as a defensive back for the UVA football program, the Altavista, Virginia native was selected by the Chiefs with the 63rd overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Thornhill had an excellent rookie season with three interceptions, but tore his left ACL late in the year and watched from the sidelines as the Chiefs beat the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. Kansas City reached the Super Bowl the next season and the AFC Championship Game the year after that, but came up short of winning it all.  This season, the Chiefs reached the mountaintop again and Juan Thornhill played a pivotal role, recording five tackles and a pass breakup in Kansas City's 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to win Super Bowl LVII, earning Thornhill his second Super Bowl ring. Thornhill was brilliant in the entire postseason run for the Chiefs, grading at 90.5 on Pro Football Focus over his final five games, the top mark in the NFL among safeties during that period.  In 65 total appearances and 52 starts over four seasons with the Chiefs, Thornhill recorded eight interceptions, one pick-six, 20 passes defended, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, five tackles for loss, and 234 total tackles. In 2022, Thornhill had three interceptions, nine passes defended and 71 tackles.  #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Dalvin Tomlinson Is Exactly what the Browns Needed In Free Agency

Dalvin Tomlinson Is Exactly what the Browns Needed In Free Agency
Trying to address the team’s biggest need, the Cleveland Browns signed veteran defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson to a four-year contract. Tomlinson was arguably the best run defender on the market and joins a team that struggled mightily to stop the run in 2022. He will make an immediate impact and is a true three-down player that can have an impact as a pass rusher as well. As general manager Andrew Berry has said before his scouting department begins looking at offseason targets during the season. Clearly, they saw the deficiencies in the run defense early on and targeted someone who could make a difference in fixing that issue. Tomlinson does a bit of everything as a three-down player that can affect each aspect of the opposing offense. He has significant hand usage and his strength paired with the leverage he plays with helps him to discard offensive linemen and attack the ball carrier or quarterback. Dalvin Tomlinson had some excited thoughts to share on playing with Myles Garrett and what to expect overall “I’m super excited to play with Myles. I’m excited to get out there and meet everybody and build some chemistry with the rest of the defensive line and go out here and make some plays. You can expect a dawg. A guy who wants to help everybody get better and now be selfish on the field. We’re only as strong as our weakest link. I’m going to bring everybody together and go out here and get some wins.” Tomlinson seems eager and excited about the team his is joining this season and fans should look forward to what he will bring to the table. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Instant Reaction: Grading the Ogbonnia Okoronkwo free agent signing
The Cleveland Browns made their first splash to upgrade their defensive line in NFL free agency by landing the pressure machine in defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronkwo on a three-year deal that can be worth up to $22 million. As they let Jadeveon Clowney walk this offseason following his tumultuous departure from the team, the Browns now have their running mate opposite of Myles Garrett. Here we take a look at the signing, how Okoronkwo fits in Jim Schwartz’s defense, the financial side of the deal, and more to grade out the signing. Spoiler alert: this is a pretty great deal between the Browns and Okoronkwo. While Okoronkwo only managed five sacks this past season with the Texans, he managed to hit opposing quarterbacks an additional 11 times as well. A step further, Okoronkwo racked up pressures at the same rate as Garrett and Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys. According to PFF, he graded out with a pass rushing grade of 81.9 for the Texans in 2022. While he did not grade out exceptionally as a run blocker, Okoronkwo’s tape shows a player who is not afraid to initiate contact and set a strong edge. The pass rushing numbers are eye-popping even if the sacks have not come to fruition, and his run defense is fine at worst. The Browns were able to sign a player who gets after the quarterback as much as Garrett and Parsons for the price of just $6.3 million per year, capping out at potentially $22 million throughout his three-year deal. Okoronkwo’s base deal is for $19 million over three years with the Browns. By all means, this is a mid-to-low-end contract financially, and the ceiling of what Okoronkwo can be with the Browns far exceeds that. Do not be surprised if the Browns and Okoronkwo are speaking again next offseason about a new deal after his production opposite Garrett skyrockets. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Eagles Free Agent Fletcher Cox Is A Perfect Fit In The Browns Defense

Eagles Free Agent Fletcher Cox Is A Perfect Fit In The Browns Defense
Free agency is nearly upon us, and the Philadelphia Eagles could lose two of their veteran players.  Defensive end Brandon Graham and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox are both interested in joining the Cleveland Browns. The news was reported by Jared Mueller of SB Nation. One of the most beloved Eagles’ players, Brandon Graham, is the longest tenured athlete in Philadelphia. With 13 seasons under his belt, the 34-year-old prefers to finish his career in midnight green, but is open to signing elsewhere depending on the Eagles’ offer. Graham has a career total of 449 combined tackles, 70 sacks, 22 forced fumbles, and seven fumble recoveries. He completing a career-high 11 sacks this past season, and was one of four defensive players to finish with 10+ sacks, making NFL history. The defensive end made the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2020, and has been significantly underrated during his career. He is now generating a lot of interest around the league, particularly from the Cleveland Browns. Also linked to the rumor is teammate Fletcher Cox. At 32 years old, Cox has seen better seasons, but after 11 professional years, the Browns are also interested in bringing him on board. Cox is a one-time First-Team All-Pro, three-time Second-Team All-Pro, and six-time Pro Bowler. While in Philadelphia, he’s completed 486 combined tackles, 65 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, and 13 fumble recoveries. The move to Cleveland would reunite both Graham and Cox with former defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. Schwartz coached for Philadelphia from 2016-2021. Despite inheriting one of the worst defenses in the league, he turned the team around, putting them in the top-five before he departed. This January, he was hired by the Cleveland Browns. The Browns also employ two former Eagles executives who overlapped time with Graham — general manager Andrew Berry and assistant general manager Catherine Raiche. This past season, the Browns were last in the AFC North, finishing with a 7-10 record. On defense, they have a huge playmaker in Myles Garrett, but after that, help is sparse. As free agency looms, Cleveland will be look to gain serious playmakers. As for Philadelphia, Fletcher Cox is probably the most likely to go. Following the 2021 season, there were many rumors Cox would be traded. Now, a free agent, his contract value stands at $14 million. Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. The Browns are gearing up again to go big game hunting in free agency
The Cleveland Browns are once again gearing up to go big game hunting in free agency. Javon Hargrave is basically the perfect target for a JIm Schwartz defense, the Browns have the money and Hargrave appers interested. Can Andrew Berry make it happen. Dremont Jones has some appeal but the asking price looks to be crazy high. Yannick Ngakoue could be a fit but the money he may be seeking may not be in line with what the Browns feel his worth is. Safrtes Jessie Bates and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson both bring upgrades to the position for Cleveland but one of them gives the defense more of an identity which could make the former eagle the more appealing option. #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Nick Chubb Is Too Important To The City Of Cleveland To Trade

Nick Chubb Is Too Important To The City Of Cleveland To Trade
The Browns offseason, like many NFL teams, comes with annual rumors of players being shipped away, coaches being fired, and stars joining the roster to turn the team around and help push Cleveland to the ever-elusive Super Bowl. This year has been no different, and while there are some rumors circulating the fan base that do hold some weight, others are as far-fetched and not-happening as they come. First, addressing the rumors that have found their way to Twitter and subsequently other sites: Nick Chubb being on the trade block and the team shifting away from running the ball frequently. The rumor took off after reports from the NFL Combine suggested the Browns intend to shift their offensive mentality and go pass-heavy with quarterback Deshaun Watson, whom they hope to get back to his elite form this season after a rust-shaking return in 2022  League sources have indicated the Browns do have a desire to pass more — at least more efficiently, with Watson this season. If Watson can bounce back this year, it would not only be the goal of the Browns, it would behoove them to allow Watson to rip on a daily basis. But part of what makes any offense so dangerous, as head coach Kevin Stefanski outlined way back at his arrival in Cleveland in 2020, is a marriage of a strong pass and run game, and there have been discussions on how to evolve the run game further, mixing up runs out of the gun with other methods to keep defenses on their toes. Trading Chubb takes you out of that picture completely. Sure, you have running back Jerome Ford who showed plenty of promise in his rookie season, but Chubb is one of one—and the Browns know it. Chubb is a valued member of the team and one they plan to keep around this season. His contract sets him up to become a free agent in 2025, and trading him this year would only give the Browns at most a $10 million cap savings while likely not getting enough of a return in terms of draft picks for a 27-year-old running back (yes, even one-of-one Chubb). The central theme around the Chubb trade rumor is clearing cap space for the Browns to be more aggressive in free agency. With the Browns currently $13 million over the cap, general manager Andrew Berry will need to do that, but the contract savant has other methods of getting that done.First, restructuring Watson's mega contract will be top of mind. The restructure doesn't say they regret the $230 million guaranteed deal they penned. It's a numbers game to make the most of the money available to spend to set the roster up for success. During the NFL Combine, Berry spoke to the possibility of restructuring Watson's contract this season. Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Finding a Wide Receiver for the Browns after combine workouts
The pass catchers and the Quarterbacks took to the center stage at the NFL Combine Saturday. Ohio State's Jaxon Smith_Njigba who's had a really rough last six months reintroduced himself to the draft world with a knock-out workout and a record type Three cone drill. Sports Illustrated's Pete Smith joins to talk about other wide receivers who should be Browns targets. Anthony Richardson was impressive but CJ Stroud showed how special he can be. This tight end class is very well regarded but will it actually hit the expectations? #Browns Built Bar Built Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
