In the third chapter of Chitragupta Ki Sabha, Vanar King, Vaali has to justify his action against the atrocities he inflicted on his younger brother Sugreev’s wife Ruma. Amidst a misunderstanding, Vaali is led to believe that Sugreev has betrayed him and planned to murder him. In a fit of anger, he banishes the dutiful Sugreev and assaults his wife Ruma. Ruma is ultimately freed and Vaali is killed by Lord Ram. Chitragupta’s court is filled with Ruma’s painful cries as she questions her brother-in-law who was a father figure to her for his heinous crimes.
