Tales of Companions: King Louise's gift

The Wilderness Live

29-10-2021 • 6 mins

Tales of human and animal companionship dates back in history for as long as one can remember. In medieval times, it was a very uncommon phenomenon to gift a king an exotic animal. While it was looked at as a fancy gift, the problem was more about a lack of understanding of what that creature was. And no matter how pampered and loved your companion would have been, this very lack of awareness would lead to its demise. However, that doesn't change the fact that these animals were infact loved. We bring to you the welcoming moments of King Hendry's elephant in 1212.
