• Dr Basu is a digital evangelist and engaged in several research and consulting activities. The subjects of his ongoing three research projects are Crowdfunding, Accounting and Reporting from Blockchain Platforms and CBDC.

• He is presently serving as Senior Director (Services) of Stragility Consulting Pvt. Ltd. His book ‘Digital Transformation – A Prismatic View’ was published in March 2022.

• He is a visiting faculty member of the NMIMS School of Business Management and IIMK.

• He completed on June 30, 2022, nine years’ engagement as a Sr. Professor and Chairperson MBA (Law) of NMIMS University School of Business Management, Mumbai, India.

• In academia, he is known as a scholarly academician. Before that, he served the corporate world for thirty-four years’ majorly in finance, accounting and reporting, strategic planning, risk management and IT enablement. His last two corporate positions were that of the Global Group Controller and CFO of two large MNCs in India.
