The Anaheim Ducks have a slew of young prospects ready to break out next season. Which young guys could make a huge difference, and who may wind up helping the San Diego Gulls? On the final game of the NHL season, the Anaheim Ducks had the opportunity to play spoiler and affect the Western Conference playoff picture... and succeeded! JD Hernandez talks about the noteworthy game Frank Vatrano had netting his third hat trick of the season. He put the cherry on top of a stellar season leading all Ducks in goal scoring, so should he be in the Ducks' long-term plans? The San Diego Gulls put together a couple strong efforts against teams just down the road... but nothing to show for it as they have another losing streak on their hands. The Gulls put on a great performance in Ontario only to lose in overtime, then play one of their best games of the season in Coachella Valley... only to lose in the final minutes of the game thanks to some puck luck going the Firebirds' way. With only two games remaining in the season against the Firebirds, these games have little meaning for either team. However, we finish by looking at the wild Pacific Division standings and where each team could wind up by the end of the regular season.

With the season winding down to a close, we look at the recent good play from Trevor Zegras since returning from injury. JD Hernandez looks at some of the numbers from Z over the last 7 games. Also, the Ducks have periods of great play, but still coming up short on the scoreboard. As the season winds down, the NHL career of Jakob Silfverberg comes closer to a conclusion.
