The manufacturing sector has long been the weak link in India’s economy. To understand the challenges and opportunities of this sector, we spoke with someone who has built, run, and successfully exited a product manufacturing company in India. Joining us is Hema Hattangady, Managing Director and CEO of Conzerv Systems - an energy meters, energy services and energy audit company that was acquired by Schneider Electric in 2009. This episode is based on Hema’s book Lift Off: The Story of Conzerv, co-authored with Ashish Sen. The book has also been translated into Kannada by Samyuktha Puligal.
