In December 2021, Reddit user PowerOfTheGods claimed he had $120K in cryptocurrency stolen from his computer when he clicked on a malicious link online. PowerOfTheGods also stated his investments were protected in crypto wallets but were no match for the Trojan Virus that took control of his browser and wiped out his holdings in a matter of minutes. The alleged crime was reported to the authorities, but unfortunately for PowerOfTheGods, cryptocurrency is still largely unregulated.
