Poolside Chats

The Black Brad Pitt

Real people. Real chats. Real conversations. Real confessions. Real talk. I'm just a kid from Ohio living in Hollywood and having conversations with the people I come across. Living in Hollywood you meet actors, rappers, singers, models, sports figures, producers, club promoters, YouTubers, porn stars, drug dealers, fitness freaks, gang bangers, writers, fashion designers and much much more. So this is me, bringing these Hollywood stories to you. Enjoy! "Despite all the technical improvements, it still boils down to a man or a woman and a microphone, playing music, sharing stories, talking about issues – communicating with an audience." - Casey Kasem www.PoolsideChats.com read less

Michael Pulley - Actor, Model, Fitness Guru (Episode 28)
What's good family!!! Welcome back to another dope ass episode of Poolside Chats. Man I am truly excited for today's episode. We have Michael Pulley who is an actor, a model and all around fitness expert sit down with us to discuss his journey from Columbus, OH to Hollywood, CA. The great thing that I loved about today's chat was that Mike was in no way shy about his down times. He was very open and honest about hitting hard times all the way down to sleeping in his car!! Showering at the gym!!! Hollering at chicks just to have somewhere to stay!!! And this story isn't only about the bad though. Mike bounced back stronger than ever and competed in various fitness competitions, acted in tv shows, commercials and movies... and is a lead character in the upcoming Call of Duty video game! You heard me correctly. He is IN the game. So sit back and listen as Mike describes his never ending journey toward success and why love and never losing sight of his relationship with God kept him strong through it all. Follow Mike's success and celebrate his wins and losses on IG: @MichaelPulley and make sure you pick up that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in October!!!! As always, thank you for listening! White People Calling the Police When No Crime Has Been Committed (Bonus Episode 10)
Hello hello hello Podcast fam!!! Ya boy MTV is back with another short bonus episode. Today is all about the recent string of white people calling the police on people of calling for absolutely no reason! I know you are all familiar with the Starbucks incident in Philly where two black men were arrested for simply waiting for a business associate. And the Oakland incident where Jennifer Schulte called the police on a black family for barbecuing has given us some of the most epic memes in recent history. But did you know about the black women in Philly who had the police called on them for golfing too slowly? Or the black men in a New Jersey LA Fitness who had the police called on them for working out? Or the black graduate student at Yale who had the police called on her for sleeping? Checking out of an AirBnB. Moving into your own home. Shopping. Going on a college tour. Eating. And more!!! These are all reasons that people of color have had police called on them... in the last 30 DAYS!!!!! This has to stop. And it has to be called out! The employees involved at both the Starbucks and the LA Fitness were fired. Expose these racists and let the world know who they are!! As always, thank you for listening! Please subscribe and like! The Drunken Knights & Stakes Is High Podcast (Episode 26)
What's going on family!!! Back again with another dope ass episode with some dope ass people! While in Vegas to celebrate the amazing #PodpaloozaVegas event, I was able to sit down with my brothers King K and Brotha2DaKnight of the Drunken Knights podcast. Also featured on this episode is another good Indiana brother, Jones of the Stakes Is High podcast. We sat down in the Knights suite overlooking the pool and sipped a little Tito's while we talked our shit. We conversed about how the fellas all began podcasting, how they've progressed, talked about brotherhood and had some dope convo about how to communicate. We had some great dialogue about the differences between debating and arguing and also went back and forth a bit about whether it is okay to say someone is better than you. Dope, dope, DOPE conversation with 3 fellas that I can't wait to sit down with again in the future. Welcome back podcast family! Freshly back in town from Fabulous Las Vegas celebrating #PodpaloozaVegas with my family, Drunk Mind Sober Thoughts podcast and celebrating their 100th episode!!! In celebration of my brothers, I'm FINALLY dropping the episodes I recorded with them. My dear friend Blk Paco helped introduce me the podcast world and two of his dear friends, Playboy Da DJ and DJ Brainstorm. So I recorded with Paco before, but hadn't had a chance to record with Playboy and Brainstorm. So we met up in Cleveland back in January and never had a chance to get the episode out. So in honor of DMST and their 100th episode, I'm putting out both episodes today. In this episode with Playboy Da DJ and DJ Brainstorm, we discuss how DMST formed, the progress they've made and how going Live on Facebook helped add to their brand. We did a lot of highlighting Podpalooza and what to expect, but since I was late getting the episode out, all I can say is SEARCH THE HASHTAG #Podpaloozaegas on IG and Twitter and see what you missed! Lol. The convo also turned to music as we discussed Doing, R&B, diss tracks and even got into a little Pac vs Big. And special thanks to Blk Paco for opening up his crib and allowing me to record with my bros in #PacoStudios! Make sure y'all keep up with my bros. Follow Playboy, Brainstorm and DMST... Krystal Manning - Psych Nurse (Episode 24)
Hello again podcast listeners!!! Thank you for tuning in again to listen to me drink and talk my shit. But today, it's going to be just a tad bit different. As usual, I have a guest on that I came across here in LA to come on and talk about their particular story. But this isn't my usual model friend, rap guy, actor homie, Hollywood socialite, etc. Today I sit down with my great friend Krystal who has over 20 years of experience in her field of being a psych nurse. She came on to grace us with talks about behavioral health, mental health and substance abuse. She gives insightful personal stories, great inside information and downright brutal honesty about some of the practices and ongoing methods to treat our mental health. I am on record as saying that my Married Men episode was my favorite to record. This episode is BY FAR the most important episode I've recorded. This is a MUST LISTEN episode. Krystal opened my eyes to a lot of great and insightful truths when it comes to mental health and substance abuse. Krystal is very serious about her role in helping people when it comes to mental health and substance abuse. So she has asked me to share her personal Facebook page with you all as well as her personal phone number. If you are having an issue with substance abuse or are ever feeling mentally unstable, she is opening herself up to you. In addition, if you have a loved one that's battling something and you need some advice or someone to talk to... she is here for you. www.facebook.com/krystal.manning.14 310.982.0313 (Call or text.)
