Finding Yourself After Loss Podcast

On this episode I introduce a co-host which happens to be my 2nd chapter.   We talk about how difficult dating is for widows and how widowhood can affect how we see new relationships.  Reflags to watch out for when dating someone and we discuss our own relationship as two widowed people that found love again.

Many Widows ask If they will ever be happy again?  And could they find the same happiness they once had? In this episode, I explain how this is the most common question I get from my clients.  And I explain the good news and bad news in being able to find that form of happiness again.

This episode is about widows/widowers dating in the 21 Century. Things have changed so much.  Dealing with a world with internet, social media and dating sites can be very challenging for someone starting to date after many years.  It's important to keep our hearts open to find love again but also be smart and stay safe. I discuss "Red Flags" that may alert you that you are dealing with a scammer. Along with tips with dating in the modern world.

Have you ever thought of yourself as not being good enough?  Or found yourself thinking I am fat, ugly, old?  In this episode I talk about how self esteem plays a huge role in the journey of widowhood and how important it is to be aware of our thoughts and how we judge ourselves.  Finding ways to fall in love with ourselves again and raising our self esteem and finding out just how AMAZING we are !

Accepting our journey is one of the hardest things to do, but once we do it can also be the most rewarding in being able to move forward in our lives.  On this episode I talk about Acceptance of life in widowhood and the acceptance of the lost of our spouse.

A very difficult podcast for me to do.  This details events 2 days prior to my husband's death and things that he was seeing as he was transitioning to the other side.  It is filled with raw emotion as I speak from my heart during this very difficult time for me.

In this Episode 3 I continue speaking about the stages of grief.  I choose to change this stage which is originally called Bargaining to The What If's.  I share with you my spiritual belief system that has helped me through this stage.  I offer tools that may help with overcoming the video we often play in our heads base on "What If" we would of done things differently, and therefore changed the outcome of their death.  Come join me in this episode as I share with you my journey into widowhood.

In this Episode I discuss stage two of grief which is Anger.  Anger is a normal stage of grief when you have lost someone you love. Your life has been turned upside down. How can you not be ANGRY ?  You have earned the right to be angry at the situation. Come and join me as I share with you my personal experiences with anger.  I offer tools that have helped me during those periods.  Know that your feelings are real and that you are not alone in this journey.

On this first episode, I introduce myself and tell my story and my journey through widowhood. We will touch on the stage of grief called Shock and Denial. I will explain tools that I have used that have helped me on this journey. I also touch on things that I did wrong and how I learned from those experiences.
