आप सबने सुना ही होगा वृंदावन धाम में कोई नमस्कार नहीं कहता हर कोई "राधा राधा " कहता है | सुबह जगाने से रात सोने तक हर वृन्दावनवासी का यही नित्य नियम है | व्रजवासियों के लिए, राधा का नाम उनके जीवन का अविभाज्य अंग है । वे अपने कानों में राधा नाम लेकर जन्म लेते हैं ,राधा का नाम लेकर जीते हैं, औरऔर अंत समय में राधा राधा जपते संसार से विदा ले लेते हैं |
यह राधा-भाव या गोपी-भाव हर भक्त प्राप्त करने की चेष्टा करता है । वृंदावन के सांसारिक दायरे में राधारानी को वृंदावन की रानी के रूप में जाना जाता है, जिसका अर्थ है कि श्री राधा ही श्रीकृष्ण के हृदय सहित हर चीज की एकमात्र नियंत्रक हैं अर्थात कृष्ण के ह्रदय के साथ सब कुछ की नियंता राधा जी स्वयं है । राधा की सखियाँ कभी-कभी हरे कृष्ण महा-मंत्र का जाप करती हैं: राधिका के स्वाद को संभोग-विलास में पोषित करने के लिए जब वह कृष्ण से मिलती हैं, या अपनी प्यारी श्यामा से अलग होने के समय में राधा के दिल को शांत करने के लिए। कभी-कभी सखियाँ मधुर स्वर में राधे-राधे गाती होंगी। जैसे वे दिन भर श्री राधा की सेवा करते हैं।
संत जान कहते हैं की एक बार भी राधा नाम का जाप करने से श्री कृष्ण लाल तुरंत आकर्षित हो जाएंगे। भगवान माधव स्वयं प्रेमपूर्वक राधा नाम का जप करते हैं। कभी-कभी हरि सखियों के साथ बैठते हैं और राधा नाम का जप तब तक करते हैं जब तक कि उनके कमल के मुख से आंसू नहीं बहने लगते।
