Grain workers are expected to carry out strike action during an expected bumper harvest in New South Wales.

200 grain handlers at Graincorp sites across the state could refuse to load or unload grain trucks and trains during the upcoming winter harvest.

Members of the Australian Workers Union will vote on Friday, after negotiations for better pay stalled.

Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with State Secretary Tony Callinan, who says workers want to be paid the same as their interstate counterparts
