There are millions of reasons why Leury Garcia will be on the 2023 Chicago White Sox team. Have you tried to predict the reserve infielder spot for the upcoming season? Hanser Alberto has had a pretty good spring and seems to have a major advocate in manager Pedro Grifol. Leury Garcia, on the other hand, has not had a very good spring but is owed millions of dollars in the upcoming season. Although Grifol would probably choose Alberto over Garcia... it's almost a foregone conclusion that Garcia will break camp with the Sox and head to Houston. The White Sox lost to the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday afternoon by a score of 5-1. Sox went with Nick Avila to start the game and his only inning of work was rough. After loading the bases, Avila gave up a grand slam to Josh Naylor. Sox offense scored an early run but did not do much after that. Andrew Benintendi had the lone RBI for the White Sox. Legendary organist, Nancy Faust, will be playing during the game on Friday as the White Sox host the Cubs at Camelback Ranch.
