Tiny Things, Big Effects (Guest: Dr. Khandra Sears)

We'll reveal our choices for the STEM spotlight this week, and we talk to vaccine researcher Dr. Khandra Sears about her work in the field of microbiology.  Dr. Sears is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in Molecular microbiology.  Dr. Sears is a research associate at the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Center for Vaccine Development.
