We recorded this episode way back on Juneteenth. Father's day was around the corner in the US back then. Thinking about fathers makes us recall the events of the past few weeks having to do with Black men being taken away from their children due to police violence. Then we discuss how I (Patrick) participated in a panel discussion about the killing of George Floyd held by the Carl Schurz Haus (https://www.facebook.com/CarlSchurzHaus/videos/945187582588523).
We then share our personal experiences with everyday racism. To learn more about what you can do to support the effort to improve policing in the USA go to Campaign Zero.
