Whether you sleep on a Hariana Tech Smart Ultimate Italian Leather Upholstered Storage Bed, or a Hästens Drēmər 170th Birthday Dedication, the “choice of kings” and China’s own Vanilla Ice, Guo Wengui, you know it’s now time to get out of bed (Unless you’re Rupert Murdoch, nudge, wink.) and get back to your Monday routine. Time to catch up on the latest news with KITM’s David Waldman and Greg Dworkin. (Sports on the 10s!) Merry Arrestmas Eve! Or maybe not. Donald Trump foments. It’s the only thing he’s done well, and the only thing he enjoys doing. To Trump, it doesn’t matter if his first indictment is tomorrow, it’s just that this week looked like a good one to light up his mob, and make sure it runs well before summer hits. Republicans get this and are using the moment to warm up and practice their lines. Ron DeSantis, already fading, gets in line. And so, pundits wring their hands, Stormy Daniels gets back on the tip of everyone’s tongue along with Michael Cohen, and this week would be a great week for some other prosecutor to lock Trump up, or at least a few of his attorneys. Attention Armando! A case to provide Trump financial records regarding Trump’s DC hotel in the Old Post Office Pavilion heads to the Supreme Court, where it will harmlessly bounce off, like a Ping-Pong ball. Republicans secretly plotted to sabotage Jimmy Carter’s election with the assistance of Iran. A secret that unfortunately didn’t follow them to their graves in 1979. Present-day Republicans would do it again in a heartbeat. In France, Parisians cook up a delicious strike. C'est magnifique! Russian keyboard commandos tried to make the East Palestine Ohio disaster worse. Eh, it’s a living, which is better than other Russian commandos can say.

Well, it looks like IT brought out the BFH, and I am able to post KITM summaries again!   Woodward and Bernstein are no David Waldman and Greg Dworkin, though all four have made it their business to track not very bright guys when things get out of hand. Let’s all follow the money: Silicon Valley Bank played fast and loose with investor money, but faster and looser than these banks are able to get away with. Other fast and loose banks hope to fill the vacuum. If we do not bail out fly-by-night hucksters, who will be left to huck? Donald Trump is going to run on the Gop ticket in 2024. He is. Ron DeSantis can stop wasting his time. Republicans who want a more pro-Ukraine contender or pro-anything that Trump is not interested in, can give up now. Fulton County investigators have turned up another perfect Trump phone call. The SEC found $8 million in Russian loans to Truth Social. None of that will slow Trump’s destruction. Just ask Fox. Ho Wan Kwok, aka Miles Guo, and aka Guo Wengui is such a caricature Bond villain that his behavior would embarrass even Elon Musk. Of course, Steven KG Bannon would be Guo’s chief henchman/fanboy. Disappointingly, it didn’t take ninjas in a fleet of helicopters to finally arrest Guo on his million different charges. His lair did go up in flames though, so that’s something. Kwok-Miles-Wengui was a basic Musk when it came to petty Twitter feuds, however. George Santos lies all the time. Well, that’s a lie, George did tell the truth that one time when he bragged about making a half mil on commission selling expensive stuff to rich people. Now the FBI is looking into that as well.

Kagro in the Morning - March 15, 2023
March 15 is a date that should be familiar to all of our historically cultured KITM fans. It is, of course, the day turkey vultures return to grace our skies over NE Ohio, and more importantly, it often marks the day Greg Dworkin reappears to grace our Skype, regaling David Waldman with his distinctive call, and raft of stories. After a few days of panic, and a good talking to by Mitt Romney, bankers are breathing easier again. The Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission have launched investigations, which are panicing bankers not at all. After all, banker’s self-policing have already proved their innocence, and other than a few black and LGBTQ in their midst, most are not suspect. That leaves Joe Biden and the poors, or something that they can blame on them. To be fair, Republicans base their decisions on the ISSUES. (As they tell pollsters.) It’s just that their stands on those issues change with the candidates they have choosen to support, making it tough at this point to predict whose set of beliefs they will steadfastly adhere to, although cruelty will always remain the point. They plan to hold this moral focus as they enter upcoming budget negotiations. In 2020, some election officials have refused to certify results. Few were held accountable. Therefore, more will in 2024, and this time with unqualified support. State Senator Machaela Cavanaugh continues to walk the walk in Nebraska, filibustering 8 hours a day for 3 weeks so far to stop a anti-trans bill. Did we mention George Santos today? Among other things, he’s still lying.

No half measures, just poetry in today’s KITM! Actually, David Waldman presented many half measures today, at least double the amount one would ever require to generate superlative 4 .5-hour segments of KITM. Just outside of the towering KITM World Headquarters, downy soft Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin attempted to duck a trans student’s questioning. Unfortunately for Glenn, those pesky media he hates were paying attention. Ace KITM correspondent Rosalyn MacGregor reports from her state that not all has yet been fixed by Michigan’s flip to blue. In East Lansing, the deputy police chief, Director of Planning, and City Manager are bugging out. My state, Ohio, home of the most corrupt state government since Caligula, made a first tiny step towards salvation by convicting the House Speaker and Republican Party Chair of passing around 60 million dollars in bribe money that must just have fallen off the FirstEnergy Corp truck. Tennessee leads the nation in anti-LGBTQ hate, so of course their closets are becoming overstuffed, and their anti-LGBTQ politicians are popping out. Now that Tucker Carlson has been exposed as a closeted Never Trumper, will he still be accepted back among the MAGA?  Sure, they are a pretty inclusive and forgiving bunch. Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman’s robocalls targeting Black voters violated the Voting Rights Act and Ku Klux Klan Act, and the judge didn’t even require a jury to decide that verdict. Jenna Ellis still has her sense of humor, which is a clear condemnation of our justice system. Oh, and George Santos lies. This time Santos is denying being the mastermind of an ATM credit card skimming operation.

Kagro in the Morning - March 8, 2023
It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! It means David Waldman is here. He usually shows up on Wednesdays. Wednesday, and that catchy vibraphone melody, means that Greg Dworkin is also heading our way! 90% of Americans polled want to tell the truth about the history of slavery, violence, and discrimination against racial minorities. (100% of them believe they know what that is.) The war in Ukraine is still going strong, but the same may not be said about the Wagner mercenary group, who is running out of prisoner-recruits to feed into the meatgrinder. Russia hoped for just one thing to go their way, but it looks as if they will reach a culmination point before taking Bakhmut. Europe has reached their Zeitenwende because of all of this. Tucker Carlson continues to remind his viewers that many of the January 6 insurrectionists had rarely insurrected prior to January 6. The Capitol police are rightfully outraged and offended. So are Democrats. So are Republicans… Well, many Republicans. Some Republicans are still getting their cognitive dissonance bell rung. Absolutely no one is surprised that Tucker Carlson is saying such things. Everyone knows that Fox is a propaganda network. Sure, Tucker hates Trump. Who doesn’t Tucker hate? Who doesn’t hate Tucker? Do you think Rupert Murdoch hired Carlson because anyone liked him? People watch Fox because it helps them believe that the things in their head are real. Or because they want to manipulate people who might believe those things. This might help you understand the dynamics heading into the 2024 Gop primary, but it won’t tell you who will win. Back in the real world, or sort of real world of the courts, prominent election denier Mark Finchem had been sanctioned for filing a frivolous election lawsuit. Therefore, he tried another frivolous election lawsuit. A judge rejected Scott Perry’s bid to shield more than 2,000 messages from Jusitce Department investigators, and so he has appealed, holding them at bay a little while longer. Meanwhile, Brad Raffensperger is just another Republican vote suppressor.

David Waldman and Greg Dworkin fill each other in on the latest news, and if you listen closely, you might learn something yourself. Ukraine stands unyielding in Bakhmut as Russian troops close in. Is this Ukraine’s Bunker Hill? Bunker Hill wasn’t even our “Bunker Hill”. CPAC is finally over for the… how often is it? It feels like there’s a flareup every few months. “Vengeance is mine” sayeth Donald Trump, which is exactly what his followers have always been praying for. That speech got Donald about two thirds of the CPAC straw poll, however Trump was really only talking to about half of them. Any Republican seeking the presidential nomination will have to assemble a coalition, and Trump never had a clue when it came to building things. That leaves Ron Chatbot Trump DeSantis, the lesser of two lessers. Ron is too good for CPAC, but plenty bad enough to worry about. DeSantis appointed a guy to Disney’s board who believes tap water makes people gay yet isn’t aware that Splash Mountain uses gallons of the stuff. Media Matters is suing Fox and Rupert Murdoch for illegal campaign contributions, and both DeSantis and Trump want to make that easier, in order to own the Libs.  Michael Knowles believes the only good transgender is one who has been eradicated entirely. Matt Walsh was minding his own business when suddenly other people became different than him. Where did the reason and civility of the old south go? Nowhere, really.

It’s Friday! The day of the week David Waldman commands the entire show with the freedom to address any topic as he sees fit! Also, KITM correspondent Rosalyn MacGregor, now available on Spoutible, reports on the latest attempts to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, and Republican’s latest attempt to kill it.  George Santos lies. George diverted voter registration money to a Gop-allied gay rights site. (And probably back to his pocket.) White nationalist Groyper Nick Fuentes is a neo-Nazi, and a real asshole, entered into no-fly lists for threatening flight attendants, and a no-attend list at CPAC for dining with Donald Trump. Neo-Nazi Dildo Vendor Dallas Humber has been revealed as the narrator of terror manuals and manifestos and the advocate of white supremacist mass murder. If you think they’re bad, check out Republican Scott Perry, who wants Democrats to be quaking in fear that they will end up going to jail, and hopes to evict any government agencies who disagree with him. Republican presidential candidate... uhm, Perry Johnson, wants to kill China and Ukraine, but really soured the CPAC crowd by dissing Vladimir Putin. The Texas Gop plans to subsidize Christian breeders. Tennessee promotes their new film, “Cocaine Cop”, bans gender affirmation and criminalizes public drag performances. How can Ron ChatGPT Trump DeSantis ever compete with these despots? By making it easy to sue the media (Sorry Fox!), firing professors, and registering anyone with an opinion. Rupert Murdoch could board up Fox and retire at 91 with a few billion in the bank, but there’s always that last big score… Jim Jordan will probably need to wait for George Clooney’s documentary to reach that fame he’s been grasping for. It looks like the Deep State is as elusive as the Loch Ness Monster, with all of Jim’s whistleblowers blowing someone else’s whistles.

David Waldman and Greg Dworkin connect every single one of the dots today. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, about to sign an anti-drag bill, was chased by reporters holding pictures of Bill in drag. Lee again explained, as he had each time he wore a dress in school, that he was only observing lighthearted school traditions. Speaking of George Santos, serial embellisher Andy Ogles doesn’t have a degree in economics, or international relations, or psychology, and might not be able to spell those words. In his party, that won’t matter. Speaking of Marjorie Taylor Greene, she has been left aghast at the incivility of modern society recently. Marge could have been contacted for comment, but really, who would want to?  Speaking of vomiting, Ron DeSantis joins the pantheon of political puke passers and receivers. Which brings us to CPAC, and Matt Schlapp, accused sexual assaulter, marriage wrecker, and mismanager. And thus, we arrive at Donald Trump. Donald is mad at Rupert Murdoch for throwing Fox News hosts under the bus to take the heat off the Fox empire… or is the empire throwing million-year-old Rupert under the bus? Either way would be a giant advancement for the rehabilitation of journalism. The 21 billionaire owner of the largest news and publishing conglomerate in the world personally handed off confidential information to tip an American election, but eh. Talking heads will be debating the secret origins of COVID tomorrow. Speaking of the secret origins of COVID… Let’s not. Let’s talk about stopping the next one. Senator Angus King caucuses with Democrats, but when it comes to retirement age, he feels positively Republican. Being an incumbent couldn’t get Lori Lightfoot up to the starting line for the upcoming Chicago Mayoral race. Brexitism is dead, long live Brexit.

Kagro in the Morning - February 27, 2023
David Waldman swears that he saw thousands of snow geese this weekend, and as proof shares a live feed of an apparently empty lake. Who knows what you might see if you look at something hard enough. How did you find us? If you listen to the podcast, but think of it as a “blog”, and remember our past defunct affiliations, just type in the URL and you’re almost good to go... a few dozen characters, half a dozen slashes and EZPZ, you’re with David and Greg Dworkin and KITM today, the best-kept secret on the Internet, and worth the effort. This weekend many were shocked to discover that famed 90’s comic strip Dilbert is still being distributed, and perhaps even read in a few publications. That number of publications drops each time author Scott Adams reveals that he is a racist moron, and Scott Adams reveals that he is a racist moron each time the number of publications drops. Adams still has a friend in Elon Musk, who is always ready to Make Apartheid Great Again. We all know what Tucker Carlson will see when he looks at his cache of January 6 footage. He and his viewers can see it already. Tuck and the Gop took one look at the demographics of the Ohio county where the East Palestine train wreck occurred and saw White victimhood as far as their eyes could see. Conservative Canadian politicians were caught dining with a German ultra-right Anti-Islamic politician and were shocked to find out that people could look her up on Wikipedia. (She didn’t like them either). Britons don’t see what they saw in that guy, Boris Johnson. The US Department of Energy has concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic likely came from a lab leak, and as far as Republicans are concerned, that is the only department’s opinion that counts. Senator Jim Inhofe admits that he retired due to “long COVID”, and as far as Inhofe’s concerned, he’s the first to admit that he has it. Nebraska state Senator Machaela Cavanaugh will filibuster every bill until anti-abortion and gender-affirming health care bills are withdrawn. You too can Blue policies passed in your Red state, by running statewide ballot initiatives. Republicans, on the other hand, simply install their judge, then run their cases through him, creating the law for the entire country. Jessa Duggar, of the multiplying Duggars, had an abortion recently, but it’s OK, because she didn’t call it “an abortion”. If you know what to call it, it’s as easy as ordering a pizza.

Put down that pączek, and cease your shriving, for just a moment. You will need at least one prune and powdered sugar free finger to tap “play” on today’s Fat Tuesday KITM with David Waldman and Joan McCarter! (Ok, take another bite.) President Joe Biden swung by a little Polish bakery he knows today on his way to make a speech pushing back on Vladimir Putin’s warmongering. George Santos admits that he was a terrible liar, and fully regrets being caught. On the other hand, Congressman Andy Ogles continues to work to hone his lying to perfection. Rick Scott pencils in a few changes on his plans to cut all of the social safety net, but vows that the sun will never set on the US Navy.  Barney Rubble stunt double Marjorie Traitor Greene secedes from her own state to declare war on all 50. Michigan’s new Republican Chair wants a reverse-Rapture to take away all non-evangelical Christians. And Kari Lake wants… to win, no more, no less. The people who have fought against "wokeness" and "cancel culture" in an effort to create a "small government" that stays out of their lives...  are making poop and pee jokes a felony punishable to 10 years in prison. You know who doesn’t believe in such reactionary dim-witted delusion? Fox nighttime hosts, for one. Dominion Voting Systems is so confident that they have the goods on Fox, they are requesting a summary judgment on liability in its $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News. Fox is many things, but it sure ain’t “news”. Every one of them are sliding off to Hell, and along comes Kevin McCarthy to throw them 41,000 hours of life preserver. If only Donald Trump were president he’d… be asking what have they done for him lately.
