The bible tells us that we cannot outgive God, and he will return what we give pressed down and running over. We often think of that in terms of money, but the bible does not say anything about money. If we give of our time and efforts, God will honor that. The woman in our text gave everything she had to the offering. No one would have faulted this woman for holding back one of the coins, but she didn’t do that. Others gave some that day, but this woman gave all. Her want to serve God was worth everything she had. We may not have much to offer, but we must be willing to give what we have to God.
