Women's economic opportunities are affected by entry level barriers to the tourism and hospitality sector, which is growing in popularity. The Periodic Labour Force Survey 2020-21 estimates the Worker Population Ratio (WPR) on a usual status basis for both males and females aged 15 and above at 73.5% and 31.4%, respectively. The hospitality sector must be gender inclusive for the nation's growth to be successful in a service-based economy.
