Hello sassy naari, thank you for joining me today. As a girl born in a middle class Indian family, I was always told that I can't do certain things and that I shouldn't dream big. Anything which was unfamiliar for my parents, wasn't considered the right thing to do. Kuchh kiya bhi to we were reminded of how privileged we are. I grew up into a woman who was ok with a lot of things despite not liking them. Aisi bahot si aur bhi women hain humari country mein. Ye puri tarah se humare parents ki bhi galti nahi hai shayad. Unki upbringing aisi thi aur itna exposure bhi nahi tha uss time pe. When I heard about feminism many years ago, i dismissed it. I thought ki iss word ki kya zarurat hai, sabko pata hai ki women are equal to men and they should have the same rights. But thodi research ke baad pata chala ki feminism kya hai aur iski zarurat kyun hai. To chalo aj thodi baatein feminism ki karte hain. Mere saath hain Chhavi Sharma, the founder of Girls Buzz. With her platform, Chhavi is raising awareness about less talked topics related to women.
