In this episode, host Paul Gibbs talks to Michigan-based singer/songwriter Amy Savin. Amy is a dynamic and powerful vocalist and songwriter who crafts melodic, alternative-rock songs that weld huge sounding guitars and intricately designed drum parts together into explosive declarations.
Amy was nominated for six GMA Canada awards in 2020.
In her latest album, “Unveiled”, released in 2019, you can hear influences like Paramore and Amanda Cook in songs like “Its a Good life” and “All Will See” while her first record is more of a Bethany Dillon-esque roots rock-driven effort. This interview features several songs from this record.
Though she lives in the US, Amy shares dual-citizenship with both Canada and Australia. She is planning to tour in the US and Internationally in support of her full length record in 2019.
Amy’s creative gifts also include “A Letter From Papa” - a website dedicated to Christian devotional literature. Letters are written from the perspective of God, to you, in a very intimate and relatable way. Each letter includes scripture references to support Amy’s creative writing and to encourage further study. Click on the “Literature” tab on her website!
