From selling drugs to advocating against them. Today we are joined by the author of 11 Felonies, Paul Wait. Today’s episode comes with a trigger warning as we discuss some heavy topics included but not limited to, drugs, abuse, alcohol, addiction, suicide. 11 Felonies intimately brings its readers along as the author (Paul Wait) recollects his younger years. From the first time, he smoked weed at the age of 11 to getting arrested for selling drugs. Throughout the book, he confronts things such as bullies, addiction, divorce, loss, and mental health issues. After getting arrested and watching his loved ones fall victim to drugs and alcohol, he turned his life around and is now advocating against drugs like benzodiazepine and other substances. He educates us on the silent benzodiazepine epidemic, shares how therapy has changed his life, how he fought to change his life trajectory, and what he’s learned along the way.
