Connecting with nature is a well used expression. But what does it really mean? It's not the same as being in nature whilst doing something else. It was only when I began my rewilding experience in Wales, and found myself custodian of land, animals and an ancient property, in a micro-climate of extreme weather, that I understood what this really meant.
