Political campaigns cost money and that money has to come from somewhere. At the moment, in Nigeria, the candidate is responsible for mobilizing funds and party member contributions to party finances are non-existent. At the moment, political parties are not owned by the people because the people are not financing them. It’s time to change all of that.
