I am a poet more than human I live in harmony and peace I murmurs the words of wisdom I will listen to you and at the same time, I may not listen I will see you but at the same time, I will be in my dreams. I care about the lives of unspoken and I don't compete Somedays I write when I feel and somedays, feeling writes me... My name is Shashank Shekhar aka Ashwamegh and I am going to be your host on this brand new podcast called "A Poet's Work". We are going to travel across poems by famous poets like T.S. Eliot and we will discover poems by Modern poets like Geet Chaturvedi. We are going to traverse through multiple languages including but not limited to English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, and many more. Through poem readings and conversation with poets. This podcast will attempt to explore the power of poetry and how poems can help you see the world differently. Each episode of our show will feature a poem or a poet. We discuss a little bit about his work including "Do not go gentle into that good night", "O Make Me a Mask", "Twenty-Four Years" & "Clown In The Moon" and the context behind it. Dylan Thomas was born on October 27, 1914, in South Wales, was the archetypal Romantic poet of the popular American imagination. Dylan's works include the poems "Do not go gentle into that good night" and "And death shall have no dominion"; the "play for voices" Under Milk Wood; and stories and radio broadcasts such as A Child's Christmas in Wales and Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog. Aashika Suresh was born in Chennai, India and now She lives with her mum, and indie pup, Ingee. She is a writer, a dreamer and a sunlight seeker. Her selected poems have appeared in numerous online journals and anthologies. Her work was shortlisted for the Srinivas Rayaprol Poetry Prize in the year 2019.
