#1,953 - Michigan couple drives to Portland for vacay, car bipped twice while in town
The drive west was everything Adrian Hammerle and Eleora Gouine had hoped it would be.
The trip from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Portland, Oregon was a long one -- 2,300 miles -- but Adrian couldn't wait to introduce Eleora to Portland. After all, he'd lived here from 2017 to 2020.
Along the way, they stopped in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Wyoming. The sightseeing was picturesque. The anticipation for the City of Roses was building.
"Yeah, I mean, Adrian was talking it up. He was so excited to bring me. I was so excited to go, and I mean we've had some people be like, oh, yeah, there's a lot of homeless over there, so just be careful. And I was just like, oh yeah, we'll be fine. I'm not too worried,” said Eleora.
