On March 11, 2016, 45-year-old Felicia Moore Porter was raped and murdered outside her home in Tabor City, N. Carolina, and her 15-year-old nephew Riley Dawson Conner was ultimately convicted of the crimes. The N. Carolina Supreme Court recently threw out his consecutive sentences and he’s scheduled to be resentenced in the fall of 2022.
