Local Grits! Travis talks about several Savannah-specific stories on this bonus episode of HGP presented by Midtown Sports Grill. PART 1: The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) forced Savannah High School football to forfeit a game it hadn't yet played, and issued SHS a $1,500 fine for an in-game fight with Cross Creek High School (Augusta) at Savannah High's stadium on September 15th. The Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) and Ms. Bernadette Bell-Oliver did nothing to help its district school. Instead, it waved its finger at Savannah High during an unrelated press conference, cracked jokes about "Friday Night Lights," took credit for what the GHSA actually did, and then issued ridiculous punishments like a "Sportsmanship" course online and a zoom meeting planned with Cross Creek to do...god knows what? For video of the fight, search for "Life With Khadra" channel on Youtube and look under "videos" tab of the channel. PART 2: GHSA to hear proposal on NIL bylaw at State Fall Meeting on October 2 (41:30). PART 3: High School Football Mid-Season Roundup (48:15).
