The Bradshaw Mountian Bears baseball team had a big day offensively in support of Josh Khazaal’s excellent performance on the mound in a 10-0 win over the St. Mary’s Knights in Prescott Valley on Saturday afternoon. Bradshaw Mountain scored in five of the six innings, plating three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to walk-off the Knights with a mercy-rule victory. On Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, officers from the Prescott Police Department, Prescott Valley Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and the Chino Valley Police Department conducted a speed enforcement detail from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. focusing on Willow Creek Road, Pioneer Parkway, Williamson Valley Road, and State Route 89. The City of Prescott held an official open house on Thursday, March 9th giving residents the opportunity to see the new City Council Chambers and City offices. The city council meetings will begin meeting in the new facility in March with plans to move other board meetings to the new council chambers later. Prescott Valley Town Council in June 2022 contracted with Schneider Electric to conduct an Investment Grade Energy Audit and Analysis for the Town. The Town’s Strategic Plan includes working toward using Smart Building Technology to improve building infrastructure functions and cost savings, and the energy audit fits within that goal. The new design will include several new security features that help prevent counterfeit reproductions or fraudulent use. Lucy Dee’s BBQ at 669 E. Sheldon Street in Prescott is now State 48 Hometown BBQ and is open under new owners, Jamaal and Rhona McCoy. The McCoys, who purchased the restaurant in September 2022, are keeping most of the original menu, which features Angus beef brisket, pulled pork, barbecued chicken, and St. Louis-style ribs – all smoked daily on the premises.
