Happy Pride Month
On this episode of Today With a Gay we are spilling the LGBTea all about pride month! Kicking off the episode with our segment of "Today in Gay News" where we talk about Greece's ban on conversion therapy and Florida's #stopthesticker where students and advisors of Lyman High School contest yearbook censorship where the school ordered stickers to cover up a page about a student walk out in response to House Bill 1557 (Don't Say Gay or Parental Rights in Education). In honor of the start of Pride Month the hosts give a little background history on the origins of pride from Stonewall to names such as Brenda Howard (aka the Mother of Pride) and Thom Higgins who came up with the term "gay pride". We are introducing a new segment we now are calling "Just the Tips" where we give our advice and feedback on attending local pride events.
