31st May marks world no tobacco day. We talk about physical harms of smoking but rarely anyone pays attention to the millions of cigarette buds lying everywhere in the open. Discarded cigarette butts are a form of non-biodegradable, toxic waste that add to the landfills. A massive contributor of pollution, cigarette butts are made of cellulose acetate, a type of plastic that may take anywhere about 10 years to degrade.

Today, for this episode, I speak with Naman Gupta, The Director of Code Effort. His venture is committed to collect, recycle and reuse cigarette buds for various purposes.
