Lynne Webster, creator of Baby Bamboo and Beyond. Lynne runs her Bamboo-products inspired business while balancing the challenges of life as a Wife and Mother of a special needs son. Listen to her very inspiring story.

Lynne was previously been employed in a wide range of fields including working for National Westminster Bank, as Owner of a café, as a Bullion Merchant and as cabin crew for British Airways for 20 years. She had to leave it all behind when her son being seriously ill and she recognised she needed to be at home with him. She now works full-time in the public sector while building her Baby Bamboo and Beyond business.

Lynne’s interest in the amazing bamboo plant was inspired by attending a workshop for menopausal women and the challenges they face. Due to some of those challenges faced such as hot flushes, bamboo bedding and sleepwear was recommended for comfort.

Bamboo is highly sustainable, eco friendly, naturally pest-resistant, therefore, needs no pesticides and due to the speed that it grows, even after harvesting, there is no need for fertilisers. It is also thermoregulating, meaning it requires no chemicals and very little water to grow. It also absorbs more carbon dioxide from the air than cotton or timber and releases more oxygen into the environment, which in turn produces better air quality. Bamboo is 100% natural and biodegradable. Once bamboo products are at the end of their life they can be returned to the earth leaving a minimal environmental impact.
