Spring Training is kinda boring so thank goodness for the World Baseball Classic! The US had a great weekend beating Venezuela on Saturday and Cuba on Sunday to advance to the finals—they await the winner of the Japan-Mexico matchup on Monday. The energy at the ballpark was electric and the fans were really into it by oohing and ahhing on nearly every play.

The Yankees also had a busy weekend with Nestor Cortes making his Spring debut, Isaiah Kiner-Falefa making his debut in centerfield and Gerrit Cole having his worst inning of the spring. Plus, the Yankees announced the winners of the 2022 Kevin Lawn Award which awards the Pitcher of the Year and the Position Player of the Year. Congrats to RHP Will Warren and OF Jasson Dominguez!
