Alex and Lisa chat with Sam (Aka Dare to dip) about cold water therapy and how it can be a fantastic addition to sobriety and therapy for mental health! Sam struggled with his Mental Health for years, specifically anxiety and depression. The anxiety started in school and Sam had no idea what this feeling was in his chest. He soon learnt that it was not physical pain but a mental one. Later in life, he turned to alcohol and drugs, which soon escalated leading him to go off the rails. This only heightened his anxiety and escalated his feelings of depression. Sam discovered Cold Water Therapy, and decided to train his body with 30 days of cold water showers. And then like everything else he does in life, he wanted to take this to the next level. Sam decided to take a dip in the North Sea every day for a year and is now asking people to support him by joining in or donating to his charity of choice, Anxiety UK!
