Hiply Meditations and Visualizations are a great way to soothe and regulate your nervous system and feel at peace.

The fact that meditation generates changes in our awareness is what makes it so effective. Many people identify too strongly with their thoughts and feelings, which prolongs them and makes them seem larger than life. For days, we can suffer from certain ideas or emotions; stress, worry, and sadness are just a few of the issues resulting from such pervasive thoughts and strong emotions. It's critical to understand that our thoughts and feelings are not who we are, and we should understand that we are merely the conduits through which they flow when we regularly meditate.

Although we are the awareness that experiences things, we are not required to identify with them. We start to feel more powerful than our ideas and feelings, and we regain control. We learn how to step back and achieve inner calm when things are tough.

Today's guest on the podcast is Donna, a life coach and multi-passionate businesswoman who specializes in teaching visionary businesses and the visualization and meditation attitude. In her daily life experiences, Donna will discuss how meditation has helped her maintain a cool, controlled attitude.

Notable Quotes

  • Using my voice through meditation, which is one of the healing aspects that I've used to overcome depression and suicidal tendencies and eating disorders, and all the multitude of things that I went through in my life, including the loss of my husband to cancer at a young age, all of that was healed by self-work.
  • When we shower ourselves with the gift of attention, love as attention, and be mindful of what we're feeling at any moment, I'm a huge proponent of that, which was a huge part of my healing process.
  • What if, in a Hiply way, we can all be seen, heard, understood, and connected instead of being so polarizing? This is good; that is bad.
  • Hiply could be like the foundation of the connection between people. So yes, there may be a sort of polarized way of thinking, and at the same time, there's a foundation that connects us all.
  • For me, one of the greatest healing mechanisms that I use is sharing. So when I share my upset or my pain in a non-violent way, in a connected way, where I'm speaking from, how I'm feeling, when I get this out of my system, that's my way to regulate.
  • One of my first conversations with my partner was that crying for me is like washing my face; it's cleansing. Let me cry; let it come through; I will heal faster.
  • We're changing the world one energy at a time. So if we shift our internal state, we can resonate that out.
  • We're so inundated by these social media sources that we lose contact with our internal intuition or guidance. To bring back that calm, I highly suggest people just turn off their phones and put them away. Don't glance at them for 10 minutes and spend time in nature.
