The Story of Blue Jackal (नीला सियार की कहानी)
Author - Vishnu Sharma   Once lived a clever jackal under a tree. But on an unfortunate day, the tree fell down and the jackal was injured severely. Somehow he managed to go in a cave nearby where he stayed for a few days thirsty and hungry. After staying hungry in the cave for few days, he decided to hunt again for the food by going out but couldn’t catch a prey due to his injury. Soon he was chased by a group of dogs and he managed to escape the forest but accidentally entered the house of a dyer and fell into a vat of blue dye.  When he returned back to the forest, his new appearance surprised everyone and no other animal was able to recognize the jackal. That’s when he came up with a clever idea and claimed himself to the messenger of god and king of the jungle. All the other animals started to serve him and he enjoyed a very luxurious life till one day he heard other jackals howling nearby and his natural instinct forces him to join them. When other animals saw him doing this, they realize he is just a jackal and punishes him for his misdeeds.   This story teaches us to stay true to what we really are and not try and pretend to be someone else as one day we will be caught.   Short but great moral stories for kids that can be used at bedtime or any other time during the day.   www.chimesradio.com   FB: https://www.facebook.com/chimesradio/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vrchimesradio/  Twitter: https://twitter.com/ChimesRadio Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/chimesradioSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Lion and The Clever Hare (शेर और चतुर खरगोश)
Author - Vishnu Sharma   Once lived a ferocious lion in the forest who used to hunt numerous animals in a single day for his pleasure but would only eat one or two for food. With their decreasing count, all the remaining animals got concerned and decided to make a deal with the lion. They proposed that they would bring one animal to the lion every day for his meal if the lion stops hunting animals for his pleasure. Seeing merit in their argument, lion agreed to it. Subsequently, one animal was randomly selected each day to be lion’s food until it was the turn of a little clever rabbit who with his cunningness plotted to get rid of the lion for good.   When rabbit went to the lion, he tricks the lion into believing that there is another lion in the jungle now to challenge his authority. On hearing this, lion gets very angry and asks rabbit to show him where his competitor lives. Rabbit takes the lion to a well where lion sees his own reflection in the water and jumps into the well to fight it and eventually drowns.   This story teaches us to not get scared by the size of our adversaries but keep trying with our best efforts to overcome any challenge.

The Fall and Rise of A Merchant (व्यापारी का पतन और उदय)
Author - Vishnu Sharma   In the city of Vardhaman, there lived a king who came to know about a wise and intelligent merchant named Dantila in his kingdom. King offered Dantila the responsibility of the kingdom and was highly trusted by the king. On the occasion of his daughter’s wedding, Dantila arranged a lavish ceremony where he invited all the king, ministers, noblemen, influential people and also the common men of the kingdom. He noticed a personal servant of the king sitting on a seat of noblemen. Furious Dantila ordered the guards to throw the servant out of the ceremony and that was when the servant  decided to have his revenge and raised a plot against the merchant to spoil his image in front of the king.   One day when the King was half asleep, servant went into his bedroom on the pretext of cleaning it and managed to plant a seed of suspicion in king’s mind against the merchant. King not sure what to do, started to withdraw merchant’s privileges. When merchant realized that this was the servant’s doing, rather than getting angry, he sought servant’s forgiveness for insulting him at the wedding. In return the servant obliged and corrected what he has changed to help the merchant regain king’s trust and his lost glory.   This story teaches us two important lessons. First that we should treat everyone with respect and equality irrespective of their social status and secondly that we should not believe everything which is told to us by anyone and use our own judgment before making any decisions.
