Rick Sanchez is joined by educator and author, Dr. Michele Borba to discuss the negative impact that social media and digital content is having on children today.  Because of technology, today’s kids are losing social skills because there is no engagement.  Families used to play board games together, now everyone, including the parents, are always on their phones or tablets.  Dr. Borba affirms that parents must ask themselves if they are being the models that they want their kids to follow.  Parents must fix their own behavior first and then the kids will follow.  Sanchez agrees that social skills and resiliency are teachable traits, but only through example.   TRSP-S1-E078 Learn more about your ad choices.
