Charlie Baxter, is a creator, English teacher and podcast host from the UK. He has always been passionate about the neuroscience of learning and graduated from university with a BSc in Psychology. After studying neuro-linguistic programming in England, he started his teaching journey out in Chile more than 7 years ago. As a world traveler, he has lived in the USA, Germany, and most recently in Australia. Along with his friend Harry, he started the Youtube channel Real English with Real Teachers. This is a fun interview—Charlie was so easy to talk to and brought some great insight for your English and your life! We start off talking about travel adventure. We discuss some of the cultural differences between Australia, where he currently lives, and the UK. How Charlie went from psychology and career guidance for young adults to teaching English online. We discuss how each of us practices mindfulness and some resources you can use. How you can become more comfortable with making mistakes and overcome perfectionism. Some tips on the neuroscience of learning. The power of curiosity. Improve your British and American pronunciation with tongue twisters. And Charlie has invited me on the British English Podcast for an interview, so be sure to check that out. Linked on the show notes in the description of this podcast. And so much more. This episode is full of variety, so you will not get bored. Let's jump into episode 21 of Beyond Borders!
