It's the ninth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D’Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles), and started the juniors with Puff Johnson. Sticking with the junior class, we set our sights on starting point guard RJ Davis, a 6'0", 175-pound guard from White Plains, New York.

After Coach Hubert Davis provided more clear delineation in the roles for Davis and Caleb Love last year, with RJ permanently moving to point guard and Love to shooting guard, both players settled into a better groove. Davis wound up setting career highs in multiple statistical categories during the 2022 NCAA Tournament. His trajectory is pointed in the right direction to explode during his junior season.

With the addition of freshman guard Seth Trimble, Davis will hopefully be able to bring his minutes down from 34.0 per game into the high 20s or low 30s, allowing him to be even more efficient in the time he does play.

Host Isaac Schade and Coach Pac Kilby take you through Davis' game as well as expectations for the upcoming season.
